• A number of educational tents were submerged and water leaked into them, damaging books, notebooks and educational aids, due to the weather depression.

• School yards have turned into pools of mud, as students face cold and rain in difficult educational conditions.

• The continuation of these conditions poses a danger to students’ health and right to education, amid a shortage of winter clothes, blankets and heating.

• Warning of worsening risks with the arrival of winter, and demanding water-resistant tents, safe alternative schools and winter supplies.

• Affirming it will continue its efforts to keep the educational process going despite the current conditions.

• Calling on the international community, the United Nations and humanitarian organisations to stop the war, open the crossings, bring in educational and winter supplies, and rebuild the destroyed schools.

⚡️Civil Defense – Rafah Governorate:

Teams are continuing field efforts to respond to distress appeals from displacement camps, after rainwater leaked into tents and submerged them.

They are working with extremely limited resources, amid a severe shortage of the equipment and vehicles needed to deal with the weather depression and respond to emergency needs.
