◾The assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, the fifth prime minister of Israel, took place on 4 November 1995 (12 Marcheshvan 5756 on the Hebrew calendar) at 21:30, at the end of a rally in support of the Oslo Accords at the Kings of Israel Square in Tel Aviv. The assassin, an Israeli ultranationalist named Yigal Amir, radically opposed Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin's peace initiative, particularly the signing of the Oslo Accords.

Frank-Walter Steinmeier professed his regret at the German rule of Tanzania during the 19th and early 20th century which saw 300,000 killed following an uprising.
"I bow to the victims of German colonial rule,” he said during his visit.
“I would like to apologize for what the Germans did to your ancestors," he added, stating “Germany is ready for a joint reassessment of the past.”
He also vowed to return bones and skulls from the former colony which are currently housed in German museums.
