⭕️ Last churches in Gaza say their clergy and nuns refuse to evacuate Gaza City

The Latin and Greek Orthodox Patriarchates of Jerusalem have denounced Israel’s evacuation orders in Gaza City as “a death sentence,” warning that civilians, including Christians, the elderly, and people with disabilities, are being forced to choose between staying under bombardment or fleeing into dangerous conditions in the south.

In their 26 August joint message, Latin Patriarch Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa and Greek Orthodox Patriarch Theophilos III said their Gaza City compounds, St. Porphyrius and the Holy Family, have become “a refuge for hundreds of civilians.”

They stated plainly that they will not leave: “The clergy and nuns have decided to remain and continue to care for all those who will be in the compounds.”

The patriarchates condemned the planned Israeli assault, saying that “there can be no future based on captivity, displacement of Palestinians, or revenge,” and echoed Pope Leo XIV’s call that “all peoples, even the smallest and weakest, must be respected … especially the right to live in their own lands; and no one can force them into exile.”

Second: We bless the Iranian response to the zionist-American aggression within the framework of Operation "True Promise 4," and we express our full confidence in the Iranian Armed Forces and the heroic Revolutionary Guard, in their determination to confront the aggression, and their ability to inflict heavy losses on the aggressors and teach them deterrent lessons to stop them in their tracks. This fragile enemy, which has failed to break the will of the people of Gaza and its resistance for two full years, will end in disappointment and will be unable, by the will of Allah, to subdue the Islamic Republic and its great people.

Third: This Nazi aggression is an attack on our entire Islamic nation and a violation of its sovereignty and dignity. We call on the peoples of the nation to stand with the brotherly Iranian people and to move in anger against the zionist and American policies. Today, they form an advanced line of defense for the nation, and if the enemy manages to break the nation's defensive lines, everyone should wait for their turn, for in their eyes, we are all enemies, and the dream of "greater "israel"" is not far from you.

Fourth: The zionists and their aides wanted their extended aggression since the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation to be a revenge against everyone who supported Palestine and its resistance, and a deterrent to anyone who thinks of engaging in the duty of supporting Palestine in any form. But their magic will turn against them with the help of Allah. The nation's battle with the zionists continues until their disappearance from Palestine, and perhaps this zionist arrogance will trigger aftershocks of the "Flood" that bring this transient entity closer to its inevitable end.

We offer our highest expressions of condolences and congratulations on the martyrdom of the lofty divine scholar, the leader of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, the master of the martyrs of the waiting ones, and the legitimate deputy of the Master of the Age and Time (may Allah hasten his honorable reappearance), Imam Ali Khamenei (may Allah’s pleasure be upon him), in the blessed month of Ramadan, to the station of Imam Mahdi (may our souls be sacrificed for him), to the Islamic nation, to the great authorities and scholars, and to the great Iranian people.

We have lost a leader of great stature and have sat in mourning for him; a leader who was unique in his era in the purity of his spirit, the strength of his faith, his wisdom in management, his courage in confronting the arrogant ones, and his struggle in the way of Allah.

His martyrdom at the hands of the most wretched terrorists and executioners of humanity and mankind is evidence of the righteousness of this great leader and the acceptance of his sincere services.

Martyrdom for the sake of Islam and dear Iran is a sign of victory and approaching the goal; however, the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei (may Allah’s pleasure be upon him) and his migration to Allah will not stop his path and legacy; rather, it will continue with strength and pride.

This martyrdom will increase our people's determination to continue the luminous path of the dear Imam Khamenei.

The terrorist crime committed by the malicious governments in the United States and the zionist entity represents a flagrant violation of religious, moral, and legal standards and norms; therefore, the hand of revenge of the Iranian people will remain extended, and the necks of the killers of the Imam of the nation will not escape harsh, decisive, and deterrent punishment.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic, and the popular mobilization forces (Basij) will forcefully continue the path of their leader, in defense of the precious legacy of this great leader, and will stand firmly in the face of internal and external conspiracies, and in punishing the aggressors against the Islamic homeland with a deterrent and instructive punishment.

In conclusion, we call upon all segments of society to attend enthusiastically and effectively in the arenas of national defense, to display scenes of cohesion and national unity before the world, and to expose the malicious and terrorist enemies of this people.

He was performing his duties in his office when the cowardly attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning. Media outlets affiliated with the "israeli" regime and regional reactionaries had repeatedly claimed that he was living in a secret hiding place out of fear.
