Belgian PM tells Israel twice in 48h: ‘No more civilian casualties’
After the Israeli side accused him of supporting terrorism, Belgian PM Alexander De Croo reiterated today: “No more civilian casualties.”
Yesterday at the Egyptian border with Gaza (Rafah gate), De Croo, in a joint visit with Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez, addressed Israel:
• “The killing of civilians needs to stop now. The destruction of Gaza is unacceptable.”
• “On behalf of the European Union, there is no military solution to this conflict. One day, people will need to talk to each other. [...] The talks need to be re-launched. We need to stop the settler violence in the West Bank.”

Here is a glimpse inside the ongoing hostage handover from Palestinian fighters to the International Red Cross. The footage captures farewells between the Hamas fighters and the hostages, whose good health condition was confirmed by health officials.
Two phases of handovers have already been completed, and a third handover is eagerly anticipated to take place later on November 26. Tensions rose during the second handover yesterday, initially withheld by the Palestinian side because Israel violated the terms of the agreement.
The truce agreement, negotiated by the resistance, involves the exchange of 50 Israeli hostages for 150 Palestinian women and children held in Israeli prisons due to their struggle against the occupation.
