BREAKING | After weeks of siege and attacks, Israeli forces stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital, forcing patients, medical staff, and those in its vicinity to leave at gunpoint.
Al Jazeera’s journalist in central Gaza, Hani Mahmoud, reported that the forces gave the approximately 350 people inside the hospital 15 minutes to leave.
The Israeli military set fire to hospital, the last functioning and largest hospital in northern Gaza.
About 75 patients were forced to stand in the courtyard of the facility, which has been under sustained attack for weeks, with many vulnerable to the cold winter conditions.
Gaza's Ministry of Health says the fate of the hospital's medical staff and patients, including Director Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, is unknown.

❗️Hamas:
"The criminal occupation army storming Kamal Adwan Hospital and the brutal massacres in its vicinity; Zionist war crimes taking place amid international inaction and complete complicity from the US administration, a partner in the campaign of extermination in the Gaza Strip.
The storming of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip by the criminal Zionist occupation army, and forcing the medical staff, patients, wounded and displaced persons inside it to leave at gunpoint, after the intensification of the barbaric shelling of the hospital’s surroundings last night, which led to the martyrdom of more than fifty people, including five of the hospital’s medical staff; is a war crime that is added to the long series of crimes committed by the criminal enemy against our people, amidst the continued global and international failure to play their role in protecting civilians and civilian facilities.
We hold the criminal Zionist occupation, and behind it the American administration complicit in the brutal war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, fully responsible for the lives of the patients, the wounded, and the medical staff working in the hospital, after their complete isolation from means of communication and contact, and the news leaking about their exposure to abuse, and the arrest of a number of them and their being taken to an unknown location.
We call on the international community, the United Nations, and all countries and active parties to take immediate action and break the cycle of silence and helplessness in the face of this genocide, and to take measures that will stop the Zionist aggression and the ongoing genocide against our people, and to work to hold this rogue entity and its terrorist leaders accountable for their crimes against humanity."

The genocide in Gaza has persisted throughout 2023 and continues into 2025.
On New Year's Eve, while the world celebrated, Palestinians were being killed under occupation.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that 15 Palestinians were martyred during occupation raids on the al-Bureij camp and the towns of Jabalia in the northern and central Gaza Strip.

Israel has allocated an additional $150 million to its 2025 propaganda budget, according to the Knesset, in a bid to reshape international perceptions regarding its actions in Gaza.
This 20-fold budget increase is intended to strengthen Tel Aviv's narrative, framing its war on the besieged enclave as justified while characterizing the Palestinian Resistance as “anti-Semitic” and equating it with “Nazi” terrorism targeting Jews. The initiative also seeks to promote Islamophobia in European countries, presenting the Palestinian struggle as comparable to ISIS.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, commenting on the increase, stated that “Israeli propaganda efforts and the war of consciousness have lacked critical, life-saving resources and tools for decades.”

In a tweet by its chief, the World Health Organization (WHO) has once again emphasized the urgent need for medical evacuations from Gaza, warning that critically ill patients are in dire need of life-saving treatment. Despite repeated calls for action, the pace of evacuations remains alarmingly slow.
Since October 2023, only 5,383 patients have been evacuated with the support of WHO. Just 436 patients have been evacuated since the Rafah crossing was closed, drastically reducing the number of individuals able to receive necessary care.
The situation remains critical, with over 12,000 people, including thousands of children, still waiting for evacuation. At the current pace, it could take between five to ten years to evacuate all those in need.
WHO has urged immediate and significant action to address this growing humanitarian crisis.

Israeli media reported that four Israeli soldiers are currently being investigated in South Africa, Sri Lanka, Brazil, and France for alleged war crimes committed during the ongoing war on Gaza. These investigations, which have drawn international attention, mark the beginning of what Israeli media warn may be a prolonged legal process.
In Brazil, a court has ordered a police investigation into an Israeli soldier accused of war crimes in Gaza, following a complaint filed by the Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF), a human rights organization committed to ending Israeli impunity.
The HRF’s efforts have fueled international scrutiny of Israeli military actions in Gaza, particularly regarding the online sharing of battlefield images, which has raised concerns about potential prosecution abroad.
