Menendez won't seek reelection as a Democrat, hints at independent run
New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez on Thursday confirmed he would not seek reelection as a Democrat, but may do so under an independent ticket.
"Unfortunately the present accusations I am facing, of which I am innocent and will prove so, will not allow me to have that type of dialogue and debate with political opponents that have already made it the cornerstone of their campaign. New Jerseyans deserve better than that," he said, according to Politico.

Now that I've been home from the hospital for a few days, I wanted to take a min to thank errybody for the many prayers on my behalf during my stay after @AbsoluteTruth1776 put out the call. Neither the hospital or this experience has been much fun so far but at least Humpty's on the mend.
Basically, I dislocated & shattered my kneecap (the dislocation didn't really matter tho) and shredded a few tendons while prepping to make lunch. I know, right?
Anyhoo, here are a few pics, including my fancy immobilizer - I've got a star plate, screws, pins, and staples in there til it's all healed up. So, thank you so much for all the prayers. You guys rock. ๐ฅฐ๐๐ผ

Remember a few weeks ago when England's NHS re-upped an old story like it was new and errybody was celebrating that finally, the NHSE (and the Tavi's GIDS clinic by affiliation), would no longer be experimenting with puberty blockers and cross sex hormones on kids? And I said to tap the brakes because no trusty the Tavi?
Well, the NHSE unexpectedly released new guidelines today that're more lax than the guidelines being replaced, including how kids that're "around 16" can get hormones (pg 2), minus the prior requirement that said the child be on blockers for at least a year before messing with cross sex hormones.
And as long as existing psychological comorbidities (psychotic episodes, addictions, self-harm) don't get worse on kids under 18 (pg 4), that's not a problem either. I hate these monsters.
