Vice President Kamala Harris has accepted an offer from CBS News to participate in a vice-presidential debate this summer, the Biden campaign said Thursday.

Harris accepted CBS News' proposed dates of July 23 or Aug. 13, the campaign said.

"The Biden-Harris campaign has informed CBS News that we accept the network's invitation to participate in a Vice Presidential debate, in studio, on either of two dates," the campaign said.

BREAKING: Truth Social CEO demands 'robust inquiry' into alleged stock manipulation

Trump Media & Technology Group CEO Devin Nunes this week pressed House Republicans to probe what he suspects to be the illegal short-selling of the company's stock.

"I remain convinced that a robust inquiry is needed to protect shareholders, including TMTG’s retail shareholders, and to ensure that Main Street investors retain their faith in the fairness of U.S. markets," he wrote in a Tuesday letter.

Writing to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, Committee on Financial Services Chairman Patrick McHenry, and Oversight Chairman James Comer, Nunes asked that they urge the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) to probe short sellers.

Hunter Biden lost his bid to halt his tax evasion district court proceedings in California on Wednesday after the Ninth Circuit declined to hear his appeal.

District Judge Mark Scarsi denied Mr. Biden’s motion for a stay of proceedings in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California pending the outcome of his appeal. The stay had been requested on May 10 after Mr. Biden filed his interlocutory appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

House Republicans have fired off a new subpoena for bank records of Sarah, James and Hunter Biden.

'This is a result of many of the documents that Devon Archer turned over,' Oversight Chair James Comer said on Fox Business, referring to Hunter's ex-business partner who has sat for interviews with the committee twice.

Comer, R-Ky., went on: 'Remember, he was subpoenaed, and he turned over 3.7 million document documents never before been seen by any of the IRS investigators, the Securities and exchange investigators, or any of the different, groups that have been investigating the Bidens for years and years and years. And we've been able to connect some dots.'

The new subpoena, Comer hopes, will 'answer every question [Congress has] had' in the impeachment inquiry into President Biden that is dragging into its eighth month.

Kevin Morris, Hunter Biden’s sugar brother and Hollywood lawyer, will allegedly quit shelling out money for Hunter’s legal defense, Morris confirmed Thursday.

Morris’s decision to stop bankrolling Hunter comes just weeks before Hunter is scheduled to stand trial for alleged gun violations.

Morris is a key individual in the Biden family orbit. He donated to President Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and helped Hunter enter the art business, a market known for corruption. Morris took control of Hunter’s ten percent stake in a Chinese state-backed fund, BHR Partners, as Breitbart News first reported in April 2023. BHR Partners has about $3 billion currently invested around the world, its website says.

The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles voted unanimously to recommend a full pardon for U.S. Army Sergeant Daniel Perry, who was convicted of murdering a Black Lives Matter protester in 2020. The board also recommended restoring Perry's firearm rights.

Perry was found guilty in April 2023 of fatally shooting Garrett Foster, who was attending a BLM protest in Austin following the murder of George Floyd in 2020. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The day after Perry's conviction, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott requested that the parole board investigate and make a recommendation regarding a potential pardon for Perry.
