House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) is asking a top attorney on special counsel Jack Smith’s Mar-a-Lago case to sit for an interview with the panel, the latest escalation of its probes into those prosecuting former President Trump.

A Thursday letter to Jay Bratt accused the prosecutor of raising the specter of impropriety by taking meetings at the White House. 

The inquiry gets at the heart of a favored but unsubstantiated GOP claim: that there may have been coordination between the Biden White House and those working on Trump’s prosecution.

Jordan’s letter hones in on three White House meetings Bratt took since the start of the Biden administration that he argues “raises, at the least, a perception of improper coordination.”

Trump tells Dr Phil there are 'people that control Biden' and explains what he does to fight the 'dark forces' when he is lonely

President Donald Trump speaks about 'dark forces' he claims are arrayed against him in a new interview with Dr. Phil McGraw, then goes on to claim his darkest moments involve what wife Melania reads in the press. 

'What is the hardest, darkest moment that you can think of in this journey?' Dr. Phil asked him on streaming channel Merit+.

That prompted Trump to talk about 'evil forces' he said were controlling President Joe Biden.

'You have to be very strong. You're fighting very evil forces and they're very smart forces. There are people that control Biden. Totally true. I think I know who they are largely. But there are people that control him. They're very smart, very energetic. Possibly they're real believers, what their sick ideology is. But you have to be smart and you have to have confidence,' Trump told him.

Ed Martin, a former chair of the Missouri Republican Party, was a major proponent of former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss. He gave a speech to Trump supporters in Washington on the eve of the Capitol attack, calling on “die-hard true Americans” to work until their “last breath” to “stop the steal,” according to video posted on social media.
