Donald Trump asked Vladimir Putin a question "what do I do to fix this, Vlad?". Putin in return asked Trump if he has 5 minutes to listen to a "short answer with some historical context". As Tucker Carlson has discovered - 5 minutes can last for 5 hours during interviews with Putin.

While in the real world the newest Sand War is in the full swing, Trump has declared to his people that the war is over, and they won. How will he explain the price hikes, loss of military hardware, and even more dead American servicemen is a problem of tomorrow's Donald Trump. Today's Donald Trump is busy pretending that he won, bigly.

Meanwhile, as it looks to me, Trump asked Putin to call some other leaders, and ask them to de-escalate. Azerbaijan and Iran are already less hostile to each other. The Gulf States might choose being pragmatic over being proud in the future. Putin will win some diplomatic points, and favors from Trump, from this war - bigly.
