ORLANDO, Florida

Several train cars left the track Friday in College Park, the railroad operator confirmed.

WESH 2 News went to the scene that afternoon along Beardall Road, near Yates Street, where a yellow railcar appeared to be tilted slightly and a tank car right next to it appeared more upright with its wheels also off the rails.

"A few cars came off the track," a spokesperson for Florida Central Railroad said in a statement.

No injuries were reported in the partial derailment, the statement reads.

Piwniczna-Zdrój, Poland

Several cars of a freight train plunged into a river after derailing in southern Poland on Friday, forcing rail services on the route to be suspended.

The incident happened near the spa town of Piwniczna-Zdrój, close to Poland's border with Slovakia, when part of the train came off the tracks and slid into the Poprad River. 

Emergency crews were sent to the scene as railway officials worked to assess the damage and determine the cause. No injuries were reported.

Polish national long-distance rail operator PKP Intercity said 6 empty freight cars had derailed. Local mayor Tomasz Michałowski said some of them had ended up in the river. 

The incident occurred at around 3:30 pm local time on a scenic railway line running through the Beskid Mountains that connects the city of Nowy Sącz with Krynica-Zdrój, a popular Polish mountain spa resort.

BALTIMORE, Maryland

A car was swallowed by a sinkhole that opened in north Baltimore late Friday night, prompting an emergency response and road closures.

Officials said the sinkhole formed suddenly, causing a parked vehicle to fall into the collapse. No injuries were reported.

SAVANNAH, Georgia

Around 5 a.m. this morning, on Bee Road at 51st Street, we believe a 6-inch water main began leaking at a brace point, which caused a sinkhole to develop.

A Jeep, which we understand was a rental vehicle, then attempted to drive through the area, went into the hole and damaged a separate 8-inch water line, making a bad situation worse.
