The Biltmore Estate has confirmed their equestrian director saved the lives of all 54 of their horses during #Helene.
She camped out with them at higher ground 4 days without contact with the outside world, hauling water from a fresh spring.

Michael Sobol, the mayor of Black Mountain, NC went on TV last night and made excuses for FEMAs failures that have resulted in his constituents living in tents in the snow.
The mayor's job is to be an advocate for his residents. The proper response here is to demand FEMA (and the state of NC) speed up/cut red tape/etc... and help the people of Black Mountain. Instead he does the opposite. I sincerely hope he's kicked out of office ASAP as he's clearly incapable of doing his job.
