🔺Industrial #mixer with a 6-bladed Rushton-type impeller and 6 baffles. The tank is initially two-thirds filled with water; the rotor spins from a standstill to 120 rpm in about 2.5 seconds; after 1 s from the start of the simulation, a second, immiscible fluid with 10x higher viscosity and 20% lower density is added, for a total time of 4 s. Surface tension effects are included. The #simulation tracks the mixing process for 30 s.
Modeling is based on the #MPS method in #Particleworks v7.2; with about 2 million particles in total. The calculation was performed on GPU, at TENSOR Romania.
