“I speak of the genocide you refuse to name. If this is not genocide, then what is?”

The Israeli occupation is coercing Gaza families: “Cooperate or be killed”

The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has documented a dangerous policy of extortion by Israeli forces against families in the Gaza Strip, presenting them with a catastrophic, no-win choice: either collaborate with the Israeli army and its militias, or face mass killing, starvation and forcible displacement. What began as individual extortion has escalated into a systematic, collective practice aimed at dismantling Palestinian social fabric by forcing people to betray their communities and subordinating survivors to survival conditions that destroy communal identity and resilience.

Euro-Med Monitor at the Human Rights Council: Recognise the genocide in Gaza

In a statement before the United Nations Human Rights Council, the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor called for an end to procrastination and evasion, urging the international community to acknowledge that what the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip have endured for nearly two years constitutes genocide perpetrated by Israel.

Lima Bustami, Head of Euro-Med Monitor’s Legal Unit, said in her address to the Human Rights Council: "I speak of the genocide you refuse to name. If this is not genocide, then what is it? Or must international law be rewritten, only to absolve Israel yet again?"

Following ceasefire: Euro-Med Monitor calls for international journalists and investigators’ access to Gaza to document genocide, ensure accountability

Occupied Palestinian Territory – International media, fact-finding commissions, UN special rapporteurs, ICC investigators, and all expert technical teams must be granted unfettered access to Gaza to document the genocide committed by Israel and ensure accountability for those responsible, thereby promoting justice and redress for victims.

For two years, our team in #Gaza was forced to abandon the office that once brought them together. Each of them had been displaced multiple times, losing homes, loved ones, and friends along the way. Now, following the ceasefire, they have all returned, carrying heavy hearts but even heavier determination. They are more resolute than ever to continue the work they never stopped, even at the height of the Israeli genocide, because hundreds of thousands of victims are counting on them to defend their rights and bring the perpetrators to justice

Risk of famine hasn’t left Gaza: Israel’s aid cuts reflect insistence on using starvation as a tool of genocide

Occupied Palestinian Territory – The risk of famine and malnutrition, and their devastating consequences, remains present in the Gaza Strip despite the entry into force of the ceasefire agreement. The limited quantities of goods and aid allowed into Gaza represent only a fraction of actual needs and fall far short of addressing the severe food and supply deficit that Israel has deliberately imposed as a tool of genocide during two years of military assault and comprehensive blockade.

Clear evidence of brutal torture: Condition of Palestinian bodies released from Israeli prisons demands urgent int’l investigation

Occupied Palestinian Territory – Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor is deeply shocked by the horrific condition of Palestinian bodies handed over by the Israeli army after being detained during the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. Clear evidence shows that many of the victims were subjected to deliberate and brutal torture and abuse that caused extreme suffering, while several appear to have been executed after detention, constituting grave violations of international law. These serious findings necessitate an urgent and independent international investigation to uncover the circumstances of these crimes and hold perpetrators accountable, ensuring justice for victims and reinforcing the principle of non-impunity.

Israel continues to bar int’l journalists, part of systematic policy to erase evidence of genocide in Gaza

Occupied Palestinian Territory – Israel continues, in a deliberate and institutionalised manner, to implement a systematic policy aimed at erasing physical evidence of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity committed over the past two years in the Gaza Strip. This policy is carried out through a series of field and administrative measures, including the prevention of international journalists and independent investigation committees from entering Gaza, in an attempt to obstruct any criminal investigation or field documentation that could establish the truth and confirm Israel’s legal responsibility.

Israel kills an average of 10 Palestinians daily since the ceasefire in Gaza

resspied Palestinian territory - Since the ceasefire in Gaza, Israel continues to carry out acts amounting to genocide against Palestinians, albeit in a quieter and more systematic manner. The approach involves daily violations of the ceasefire through limited shelling that escalates every few days into widespread attacks targeting civilians in displacement centers, homes, and tents.

Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on 11 October, the Israeli army has pursued a policy of gradual escalation, shifting from intermittent strikes to large-scale waves of killing.

In #Gaza, even the rain becomes another hardship. As families drain floodwater from fragile tents, the world sees only a fraction of the suffering. For many Palestinians, the #genocide continues in quieter, less visible forms, from ongoing displacement to restrictions that prevent real reconstruction and dignity. The ruins remain, not because people don’t want to rebuild, but because they are not allowed to. This too is part of the war that persists long after the bombs stop falling.
