US explicitly involved in committing war crimes against civilians in the Gaza Strip
Geneva – In a new statement following the revelation that the United States has supplied Israel with 100 2,000-pound “bunker buster” bombs since the start of Israel’s genocide in the Gaza Strip on the Gaza Strip, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor condemned the US action.
The aforementioned weapons are fortification-piercing bombs, with a warhead (BLU-109) that is known for its ability to deeply penetrate fortified structures before detonating and causing significant casualties among civilians. As such, their use is strictly forbidden in civilian and residential areas, Euro-Med Monitor said.

Israel intensifies its forced displacement of Palestinian in the Gaza Strip
Geneva - About 48 hours after the collapse of the temporary humanitarian truce in Gaza and the resumption of Israeli air, sea, and land attacks on civilian communities in widespread disproportionate raids, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor stated that Israel has intensified its forced displacement plans for Palestinians in the Strip.
Israel is crushing all forms of civilian life in the Gaza Strip, the Geneva-based rights organisation said, and returning residents to the pre-industrial stage by turning the Strip, including its homes, factories, businesses, and infrastructure, into piles of rubble.

Israel expands its mass starvation campaign to include more than 65% of the Gaza Strip
Geneva - Israel has expanded its total ban on humanitarian supplies entering large areas of the Gaza Strip as part of its ongoing genocide, waged since 7 October, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said on Monday in a statement emphasising Israel’s use of starvation as a weapon against civilians.
The Israeli army had planned to largely cut off the Gaza Strip’s central governorate from the Strip’s southern areas during the past 48 hours by imposing restrictions on movement and limiting the supply of humanitarian aid, such as food and drinkable water.

Contrary to Israeli claims, 9 out of 10 of those killed in Gaza are civilians
Geneva – The Israeli army’s claim that every killed armed individual or faction member has resulted in the loss of two civilian lives is false, said Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor on the 60th day of Israel’s ongoing genocide campaign in the Gaza Strip.
According to preliminary statistics provided by Euro-Med Monitor, based on field documentation, at least nine out of 10 Palestinian deaths resulting from Israeli attacks are in fact civilian deaths

Iconic and ironic: How Israel’s attack on Gaza reflects its strategy towards human rights laws
In a picture circulated on social media reflecting the extent of damage the Israeli military has inflicted on neighbourhoods of the Gaza Strip, part of the Gaza City street where the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor office is located appears.
Tanks encircle the office building, and the area surrounding it appears devastated by the repeated aerial, artillery, and naval strikes. Around 12 kilometres away from the office (as I have been displaced in the central Gaza Strip), I stared at the picture for hours.

As part of its genocide in Gaza, Israel escalates its targeting of schools housing displaced people
Geneva – Israel’s escalation of its attacks on UNRWA-run schools housing displaced persons in different areas of the Gaza Strip was strongly condemned by Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor in a statement released on Wednesday.
The Euro-Med Monitor team has monitored intense Israeli air and artillery attacks on at least five UNRWA-run schools over the past 24 hours. These attacks have caused hundreds of casualties, and are a grave violation of the legal immunity that should be enjoyed by UN facilities.

Israel arrests, abuses dozens of Palestinian civilians at UNRWA-run schools in northern Gaza

Israeli Strike on Refaat al-Areer Apparently Deliberate
The Israeli airstrike that killed Prof. Refaat al-Areer was apparently deliberate, Euro-Med Monitor concluded on Friday. The apartment where Refaat and his family were sheltering was surgically bombed out of the entire building where it’s located, according to corroborated eyewitness and family accounts. This came after weeks of death threats that Refaat received online and by phone from Israeli accounts.
We call for an immediate investigation into this apparently deliberate and targeted killing of a prominent Palestinian academic, writer, poet, and activist.

UN agencies risk being complicit in Israel’s use of starvation as warfare against Gaza civilians
Geneva – In a new statement issued Friday, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor warned of the risks of prolonging Israel’s use of starvation as warfare against Gaza Strip civilians in an effort to intensify the genocide it has been committing since 7 October.
Euro-Med Monitor received reports that children suffering from malnutrition complications have starved to death in schools run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the southern Gaza Strip. Among these children are Jana Deeb Qudeih, a girl with cerebral palsy who died who was proclaimed dead today on Friday at the Taiba School in the Strip’s southern town of Abasan Al Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, from malnourishment and a shortage of oxygen, which was required for her condition.

Field executions, torture, and threats of rape: In Gaza, Israel’s army replicates the crimes committed by Zionist gangs in 1948
Geneva - An urgent international investigation must be opened into horrific crimes committed by the Israeli army during its land incursions into the Gaza Strip, including field executions, torture, and rape threats, said Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, citing testimonies collected from newly-released civilians.
