Today marks the beginning of Lent for Catholics, the 40-days period before Easter.

The objective is not to fast or starve yourself. But rather to return to the simple and frugal things in life (simple meal, no fap, good habits...)
In France, the ancient tradition is that during this period the meals are very simple, bread and water.
Bread is a great symbol. From the word "bread" (pain) in French, is born the word "friend" (copain).
A friend, in France, is "the one with whom you share your bread".
The baguette is a symbol of this, you cut it in half and offer your friends the other half.
So remember the meaning of Lent / Carême. Return to the simple things, to the essential things: family, friends, God.
Everything else is just dressing up, superfluous.
What really counts is to protect your family, to be a good friend and to serve your God.

💣He tried to blow-up the mosque of Bayonne (South France) and he shot muslims with a high-caliber weapon.
🚓 He was arrested a few hours later and imprisoned for hate-crime.
📌 He died today, 27 February, in Prison.
