The charity watchdog has opened a probe into a mosque that was criticised by the Manchester Arena bomb inquiry.
The chairman of the inquiry, Sir John Saunders, said the mosque had suffered from "weak leadership".
Last week, after his final report into the bombing was published, Sir John said: "The Charity Commission has already prescribed a programme that the Didsbury Mosque must put in place.
"I hope that they will read my report and consider whether anything more needs to be done."
Didsbury Mosque declined to comment and said it would issue a public statement at a later date.

Emmanual Macron is demanding annual payments from Britain in order to tackle the small boats crisis.
The French President will demand further payments from the UK - on top of existing funding - to finance the policing of French beaches near Calais and Dunkirk.
The UK has paid France at least £232million in one-off payments since 2014, the latest of which was in November when Braverman agreed to a £62million deal with her French counterpart to increase patrols by 40 percent.

WhatsApp messages exchanged between Italian politicians and senior health officials at the start of the coronavirus pandemic reveal how leaders attempted to protect the country’s image while appearing to joke about Italy’s role in the spread of the virus.
The messages are part of an inquiry that led prosecutors to place former prime minister, former health minister and 17 other officials under investigation on suspicion of “aggravated culpable epidemic” and manslaughter in connection with the government’s response at the beginning of the pandemic.
