طبق گزارش منتشر شده بر اساس آخرین آمارها از نگرش‌های اجتماعی مسلمانان، مسلمانان به ویژه نسل دوم به دنبال راه‌هایی جهت ارتباط برقرار کردن بین فرهنگ بریتانیایی و دین می‌باشند. در دوره‌ای که تفکر اسلامی با محیط‌های مالزی، پاکستان و مصر سازگاری پیدا می‌کند، کاملاً طبیعی است که می‌تواند با فرهنگ و محیط انگلستان همسازگاری پیدا کند. نکته عجیب آمارهای منتشر شده این است که با وجود لیبرال شدن بیش از پیش مسلمانان، از مذهبی بودن آنها کاسته نشده است، علاوه بر اینکه آنها علاقه‌مند به ادغام کامل دین در تمام جنبه‌های زندگی بریتانیایی می‌باشند...

Muslims, especially second generation Muslims, seem to be finding ways to reconcile British culture with religion. It's only natural that, when Islamic thought has adapted to the context in Malaysia, in Pakistan and in Egypt, it can do so in Britain as well.
Ipsos MORI released a review last month of all the major polling data on Muslim social attitudes to date, it’s surprising that no one picked up on the significance of its findings.
What it showed is that Muslims are becoming more liberal. But what was surprising was that they’re not becoming less religious; these Muslims are more likely to want to fully integrate into all aspects of British life...

هدف مرکز مطالعات اسلام در انگلستان در دانشکده مطالعات دینی دانشگاه کاردیف، ارتقاء درک علمی و عمومی از اسلام و زندگی جوامع مسلمان در انگلستان با تأکید خاص بر روش‌شناسی جامعه‌شناختی و انسان‌شناسی می‌باشد. این مرکز در سال 2005 توسط یوسف اسلام (کت استیونز) تأسیس شد و یکی از مؤسسات آموزشی علمی و پژوهشی در مورد اسلام و مسلمانان در بریتانیا می‌باشد.
کاردیف یکی از قدیمی‌ترین و متنوع‌ترین جمعیت‌های مسلمان در انگلستان را داراست و برخی از اولین مساجد در اوایل قرن بیستم در این شهر تأسیس شده است. امروز بیش از 45،000 مسلمان در ولز وجود دارد که تقریبا نیمی از آنها در شهر کاردیف زندگی می‌کنند.
مرکز مطالعات اسلام در انگلستان رابطه قوی و مثبتی با جامعه مسلمان محلی دارد و مسلمانان محلی بخشی از گروه مشورتی این مرکز هستند. در حال حاضر این مرکز به عنوان مرکزی برجسته در مطالعه اسلام و مسلمانان در بریتانیا، شهرتی جهانی دارد.

Cardiff has one of the oldest and most diverse Muslim populations in the UK. Some of the earliest mosques were founded in the City in the early 20th century. Today, there are today over 45,000 Muslims in Wales, nearly half of whom live in Cardiff itself.
The Centre for the Study of Islam in the UK has a strong and positive relationship with the local Muslim community. Local Muslims form part of the Centre’s Advisory Group.
The Islam-UK Centre at Cardiff University is at the cutting edge of research in the emerging field of ‘British Muslim Studies’, and now has an international reputation as the leading center of excellence for the study of Islam and Muslims in Britain.

The company has recently rolled out an interactive calligraphy application called Qalam to help create 3-D Ramadan messages and cards as well as an augmented reality tool called the Qibla Finder to help Muslims find Mecca’s direction for prayer.

The United Arab Emirates hosted the start of a two-day forum on Tuesday for Islamic community leaders from countries around the world where Muslims are minorities. Several hundred people attended the forum in the UAE’s capital of Abu Dhabi to network and discuss challenges around issues of Islamophobia, integration and extremism.
