📊 گزارشی از ترکیب مذهبی اعضای کنگره جدید آمریکا
مطابق تحلیل اخیر مرکز تحقیقات پیو (Pew Research Center) روی اطلاعات کنگره، صد و شانزدهمین کنگره آمریکا در مقایسه با کنگره‌های پیشین، از تنوع مذهبی بیشتری برخوردار است؛ اگر چه همچنان مسیحیان اکثر کرسی‌ها را به خود اختصاص داده‌اند. بر اساس این گزارش:
1️⃣ ترکیب دینی این کنگره بسیار متفاوت با ترکیب دینی جمعیت بزرگسال آمریکاست.
2️⃣ تعداد افراد غیر مسیحی این دوره به 63 نفر رسیده است که عبارتند از : 34 نفر یهودی، 2 نفر بودائی، 3 نفر مسلمان، 3 نفر هندو، 2 نفر جهان گرای توحید گرا، 1 نفر بدون مذهب و 18 نفر نیز وابستگی مذهبی خودشان را ابراز نکرده‌اند.

The new Congress is slightly more religiously diverse than its predecessor, but it remains overwhelmingly Christian, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis of congressional data. Here are five facts about the religious affiliation of members of Congress:
1️⃣ The religious composition of the new Congress is very different from that of the U.S. adult population.
2️⃣ While Congress remains overwhelmingly Christian, the number of non-Christian members has risen to 63. Most non-Christian members of Congress are Jewish (34), but there are also two Buddhists, three Muslims, three Hindus, two Unitarian Universalists, one unaffiliated member and 18 who decline to specify a religious affiliation.

مؤسسه علوم اجتماعی کلیسای انجیلی در آلمان (EKD) نتایج مطالعه جدیدی را با عنوان "اسلام و مسلمانان در آلمان: دیدگاه‌های جامعه" منتشر کرده است که در آن 2000 نفر دیدگاهشان در خصوص جایگاه اسلام در آلمان را بیان کرده‌اند.

The Social Science Institute of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) has published a new study titled “Islam and Muslims in Germany: The population’s view”. Just over 2000 respondents were questioned on the phone with respect to their perception of Islam’s place in German society.
Although it is not stated explicitly, throughout the presentation of the findings the reader is led to assume that only Protestant, Catholic, and unaffiliated respondents were contacted to participate in the survey.
The survey report shows that only 33 per cent of respondents agree that “Islam fits with German society” (54 per cent reject this claim)...

📖 معرفی کتاب
🔸 این کتاب حاصل تحقیقی گسترده مبتنی بر دستاوردهای چندین پژوهش میدانی است که در پانزده سال اخیر در دانشگاه‌ها و مؤسسات علمی کشور انگلستان، در موضوعات و مسائل مرتبط با جوان مسلمان در این کشور، صورت گرفته و امکانِ به دست دادن تصویری نسبتاً واقع‌نما ازاین گروه سنّیِ مسلمانِ متولد یا مقیم انگلستان را فراهم آورده است.
🔹 این اثر که حاصل تحقیقات و مطالعات گروه پژوهشی مرکز IRIC است در هفت فصل به مطالعه و بررسی زیست جوانان مسلمان در بریتانیا پرداخته است:
1️⃣ فصل نخست به ارائه تصویر کلی از حضور مسلمانان در بریتانیا و چگونگی تاریخی آن، پراکندگی جغرافیایی و بررسی آماری پیروان فرقه ها و مذاهب اسلامی در این کشور پرداخته است.
2️⃣ فصل دوم به تفصیل موضوع آموزش و تحصیل دانش آموزان مسلمان در مدارس بریتانیا، انواع مدارس موجود، مشکلات و مسائل آموزشی و نیز تحصیل جوانان مسلمان در دانشگاه ها را مورد بررسی قرار می دهد.
3️⃣ فصل سوم به موضوع اشتغال این گروه سنی، نوع مشاغلی که جوانان مسلمان در بریتانیا به آن اشتغال دارند، علل بیکاری مسلمانان و نتایج آن، رابطه دین و فعالیت اقتصادی و موانع فرهنگی ناشی از شرایط اجتماعی مسلمانان اختصاص یافته است.
4️⃣ در فصل چهارم، موضوعات فرهنگی از جمله هویت، تصویر جوانان مسلمان بریتانیایی از اسلام و میزان التزام آن ها به باورها و فرهنگ دینی و نیز مقوله حجاب مورد مطالعه قرار گرفته است.
5️⃣ جامعه و سیاست موضوع فصل پنجم است که به بررسی مؤسسات اسلامی جوانان مسلمان در بریتانیا، فعالیت و جایگاه مساجد در میان جوانان، رسانه های تصویری و مکتوب مرتبط به مسلمانان، مشارکت سیاسی مسلمانان در بریتانیا و نیز آسیب شناسی و ناهنجاری های اجتماعی پرداخته است.
6️⃣ فصل بعدی موضوع نومسلمانان را دنبال می‌کند و پس از بررسی آماری، دلایل گرایش به اسلام در میان جوانان بریتانیایی را بررسی نموده است. فعالیت‌های نومسلمانان، روش دعوت به اسلام در بریتانیا و مشکلات نومسلمانان دیگر موضوعاتی است که در این فصل بدانها پرداخته شده است.
7️⃣ فصل هفتم به معرفی و ارائه گزارش تفصیلی 13 کتاب منبع در موضوع مسلمانان و جوانان مسلمان در بریتانیا می‌پردازد. این کتاب شامل 5 پیوست، بخش منابع و نمایه‌های اشخاص، شهرها و کشورها، تشکل ها، مؤسسات و سازمانها، نمایه موضوعی، و نمایه دوزبانه اعلام نیز می باشد.
