The main focus of this conference is on the pilgrims’ lived engagement with the rituals of the hajj, Meccan space and their fellow pilgrims. 📜 در دسترس قرار گرفتن 208 نسخه دیجیتالی از نسخ خطی توسط پروژه نسخ خطی جهان اسلام

هدف پروژه نسخ خطی جهان اسلام فراهم کردن نسخه‌های دیجیتالی بیش از 500 نسخه خطی و 827 نقاشی یافت شده در آثار باستانی سرزمین‌های اسلامی در سال‌های 1000 تا 1900 می‌باشد. این آثار شامل موضوعات مختلف مانند ستاره‌شناسی، ریاضیات، تاریخ، قانون، ادبیات، و قرآن و حدیث هستند و مجموعه آنها به زبان‌های عربی، فارسی و نمونه‌هایی از زبان‌های قبطی، ترکی، سیریک و بربر می‌باشد.
این پروژه توسط دانشگاه کلمبیا، کتابخانه آزاد فیلادلفیا، دانشگاه پنسیلوانیا و همکاری کالج برین مار و کالج هاورفورد انجام می‌شود...

📜 Manuscripts of the Muslim World project made recently available digital copies of 208 manuscripts

The goal of the project is to provide digital editions of more than 500 manuscripts and 827 paintings from the Islamicate world broadly construed. Together these holdings will represent in great breadth the flourishing intellectual and cultural heritage of Muslim lands from 1000 to 1900, covering mathematics, astrology, history, law, literature, as well as the Qur’an and Hadith. The bulk of the collection consists of manuscripts in Arabic and Persian, along with examples of Coptic, Samaritan, Syriac, Turkish, and Berber.
The primary partners are Columbia University, the Free Library of Philadelphia, and the University of Pennsylvania with significant contributions from Bryn Mawr College and Haverford College...

🕌 ساخته شدن مسجدی در شهر آتن برای مسلمانان بعد از ده‌ها سال انتظار

اولین مسجد شهر آتن پس از 180 سال و پشت سر گذاشتن بحث و جدل‌های فراوان در یک منطقه صنعتی، بدون هیچ نمادی مانند گنبد و مناره ساخته شده است. مقامات دولتی یونان اعلام کردند اولین مسجد رسمی شهر آتن با صرف 850000 یورو تا سپتامبر سال جاری افتتاح خواهد شد. اگرچه در برخی دیگر از نقاط یونان مساجدی وجود دارند، ولی پایتخت این کشور بعد از اشغال عثمانی‌ها در سال 1833 میلادی تاکنون مسجدی نداشته است...

🕌 After waiting for decades, Muslims in Athens finally get a mosque

Without minaret or dome, the beige, rectangular structure in a former industrial area has none of the ornate grace typical of Islamic places of worship. But for the Muslims of Athens, it is the result of a long-fought battle - and the city's first formal mosque in more than 180 years.
Greek authorities said that Athens would open its first official mosque probably by September when the 850,000 euro construction project is completed.

✅ حمله به قبرستان مسلمانان در یونان نشان‌دهنده افزایش اسلام‌ستیزی می‌باشد

بر اساس گزارش یک کارشناس، حمله اخیر به یک قبرستان مسلمانان در یونان نشان‌دهنده افزایش اسلام‌ستیزی و نژاد‌پرستی در یونان و در کل منطقه اروپا می‌باشد. در شهر الکساندروپولیس که در بخش غربی یونان واقع شده است، حدود 150000 ترک زبان زندگی می‌کنند. در این حمله بر روی سنگ قبرهای مسلمانان نمادهای نازی و نماد جناح راست سیاسی یونان با اسپری توسط متجاوزان کشیده شده است.
طبق گزارش سازمان امنیت و همکاری اروپا و دفتر مؤسسات دموکراتیک و حقوق بشر از 128 جنایت نفرت‌آمیز که توسط پلیس یونان به ثبت رسیده است، تنها 46 مورد پیگرد قانونی داشته و فقط 6 مورد محکومیت به دنبال داشته است...

A recent attack on a Muslim cemetery in Greece shows the rise of Islamophobia and racism both there and throughout the continent, according to an expert on the region. A Muslim cemetery in the city of Alexandroupolis was found to have suffered an attack by unknown assailants, who left behind damaged tombstones scrawled with racist slogans. The city lies in Western Thrace, a region of Greece with a substantial ethnic Turkish population of about 150,000.
