🇺🇸⚡ The Trump administration is shifting to the right after losing the elections, apparently trying to remobilize the voters who did not turn out this week. Trump has appointed Stephen Miller, one of the main ideologists of the US anti‑immigration policy, as White House chief of staff.
On Truth Social, the American president wrote that starting Monday, one of his “most loyal allies” and current domestic policy adviser Stephen Miller will become the head of the White House staff.
In this position, he will replace Susie Wiles, who is moving to work in Trump’s political structure. Wiles only returned to the White House in September — for the previous six months she had been undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
Miller is a supporter of ultra‑right politics in the United States. Even in his youth, he began giving provocative speeches: at 16 he called into conservative journalist Larry Elder’s show to talk about the “lack of patriotism” in his school, and later wrote an essay about it.
After university, Miller became a protégé of right‑wing activist David Horowitz, and by 2016 he had joined Trump’s team, later becoming his adviser.
During Trump’s first term, Miller was his speechwriter and policy adviser: he was one of the designers of migration reform and proposed building another wall between the US and Mexico.
US media reported that he was behind the dismissals of FBI Director James Comey and Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen in order to toughen the country’s immigration policy.
According to The New York Times, at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic he also proposed sealing the border with Mexico with the help of soldiers. The plan was later abandoned because it would have required deploying almost half of the entire US armed forces.

🇺🇸🇪🇺🇷🇺🇺🇦⚡ The US administration believes the trilateral format for talks on resolving the Ukraine conflict could eventually be expanded to include Washington's European allies, Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner said.
"All parties remain intensely engaged in preparing for substantive and productive negotiations," he wrote on X, referring to next week's trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi involving representatives of Russia, the US and Ukraine. "We will consult closely with our European partners on the sidelines and, if progress is made, aim to move toward a broader multilateral format with their direct participation," Kushner added.

🇪🇺🇺🇸⚡ The words of US special presidential envoy and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner on potential European security agreements involving Russia came as a complete surprise to European officials, The Financial Times reported, citing sources.
According to the newspaper, EU member states are against using peace talks on Ukraine to discuss a new security architecture. They also fear that US President Donald Trump’s administration might strike a deal with Russia that would undermine European security.
“It’s up to the European Union to decide on matters that affect its security,” The Financial Times quoted an unnamed European Commission spokesperson as saying.
