Keyhan Maghsoudi, a Bahá’í citizen, photographer, and videographer from Urmia, has been detained by security forces for more than two months, according to a statement by his family.

Arrested on June 20, 2025, during a raid on his workplace, he was first held by the Ministry of Intelligence and later transferred to Urmia prison. Recently, he was again taken out of prison for interrogation.

Throughout this entire period, he has been denied access to counsel, leaving him at serious risk of forced confessions under torture. His family has received no information about any possible charges or the status of his case.

This detention is another instance of the Iranian government’s intensified crackdown on Bahá’ís following the military conflict with Israel in June. The Iranian government has never provided any evidence regarding the national security charges leveled against Iranian Bahá’ís.
