Marzieh Farsi, Forough Taqipour, and Nasim Gholamifard have been charged with the crime of baghy, or armed rebellion against the Islamic Republic. According to HRANA, the three women have been accused of membership in an opposition group. HRANA’s report did not specify the group’s name. If convicted, the three women can face the death penalty.
