Rouhollah Mardani, a teacher and a union activist, is facing disciplinary action by Alborz Province Ministry of Education Administrative Infractions Board due to his support of the nationwide protests of 2022 and his activity on social media. According to the statement issued by the Alborz Province Ministry of Education Administrative Infractions Board, he was charged with "inciting and participating in strikes and illegal demonstrations and exerting group pressure to achieve Illegal goals.”
“Supporting the nationwide protests of 2022 and publishing critical content on Instagram" are examples of acts that were the basis of the charges brought against him.
Mr. Mardani must present his written defense to this board within ten days.
