Zara Esmaeili, an artist from Karaj, has been imprisoned for more than four months after performing on the streets without the mandatory hijab. She was arrested on July 25, 2024, following the release of videos showing her performing without observing Iran’s strict hijab law. Authorities raided her home in Karaj, and her current condition remains unknown.
