Jila Baniyaghoob, a journalist and women's rights activist, announced in a post on X that security forces raided her home, searched it, and confiscated her and her husband's phones and laptops, among other items. Mrs. Baniyaghoob wrote that more than 10 or 12 security agents stormed her home under the pretext of delivering a letter from the post office.
The agents entered the house without heeding her husband, Bahman Ahmadi Amouee's, request to wake her up and allow her to dress appropriately. They gave Mrs. Baniyaghoob a warrant that did not mention any charges or reasons for the raid and search of her home. Ultimately, despite the warrant naming Mrs. Baniyaghoob, the agents confiscated both her and her husband's belongings before leaving.
As they departed, the agents told her to report to one of the investigation branches at Evin Prosecutor's Office.
