On the morning of Monday, February 17, 2025, in a coordinated operation, Ministry of Intelligence agents raided the homes of 10 Baha’i families in the Mehrshahr, Gohardasht, and Khorramdasht areas of Karaj, searching their residences and confiscating personal belongings.

According to a reliable source, intelligence agents raided the homes of Nazila Raisi, Shoghi Tebiani, Shamisa Shahbazian, Homa Abdardestani, Alice Bahari, Farhoud Yazdani and Nava Ansari in Mehrshahr; Pejman Reza, Peyman Reza and Mehraneh Motlagh Arani (Reza) in Khorramdasht and Nasim Ansari in Gohardasht, conducting thorough searches of their residences.

In two cases, at the homes of Mr. Tebiani and Mrs. Bahari, agents forcibly entered using a sledgehammer after a delay in opening the door. The agents also raided Mr. Tebiani’s and his father's violin workshop, searched the premises, and confiscated several items.

During these searches, authorities confiscated books, pamphlets, photographs, mobile phones, laptops, tablets, and, in some cases, national ID cards and birth certificates.

As of now, the reasons behind these raids remain unclear.
