Motaleb Ahmadian, a political prisoner held in Evin Prison, has entered the fifteenth day of his hunger and medication strike. According to HRANA, Mr. Ahmadian suffers from multiple health issues, including spinal canal stenosis, duodenal ulcer, urinary tract infection, herniated disc, and digestive problems. Despite his deteriorating health, authorities have ignored his demands and denied him adequate medical care. On Monday, May 5th, Ahmadian began his strike in protest of the Tehran prosecutor's refusal to suspend his sentence for medical treatment and the continued denial of healthcare access.
