آن را ابزاری سیاسی علیه ایران دانست و هدفش این بود که ادعاهای مطرح‌شده در جلسه علیه ایران را رد کند و از سیاست‌های جمهوری اسلامی حمایت کند.
همچنین او رابطه نزدیکی با علی نجفی دانشجوی کارشناسی ارشدمدیریت بازرگانی در دانشگاه نوشاتل پسر رضا نجفی نماینده دائم ایران در سازمان ملل متحد دارد

Mahdieh_Ataherian is a resident of Neuchâtel, Switzerland#.
She is a representative and activist for a charity institute supporting victims of social issues. She participates as an NGO speaker in sessions of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva and speaks on human rights issues, particularly those related to Iran.
During the 2022 popular uprising in Iran (1401 in the Persian calendar), Mahdieh Ataherian, speaking on behalf of the NGO, defended the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
She described the special session of the Human Rights Council as unfair and prejudicial. She stated that the session was held based on false and incorrect information. She viewed it as a political tool against Iran and aimed to refute the claims made against Iran in the session while supporting the policies of the Islamic Republic.
