According to Washington Post, #Israel looking at reaching ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, before start of President #Trump's second term. Minister @AmbDermer leading efforts. Key points include:
* Hezbollah withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
* Lebanese army deployment, but possibly supervised by the U.S. and U.K., at least in the beginning.
* Russian pressure on al-Assad to prevent Syrian arms smuggling.
* A side agreement with the U.S., allowing Israel "operational freedom" in response to any Lebanese violations or Hezbollah rearmament and attacks.
* Jared Kushner, the architect behind the Abraham Accords, has also been involved in the discussions, and may have role to play in the implementation in the Trump Administration.
