On 22 June 1941, Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union.

It was the beginning of Operation Barbarossa, the largest military operation of all time. The Wehrmacht attacked with 150/180 divisions according to German intelligence data on a front 3,000 kilometres wide. Berlin thought they were facing 200 Soviet divisions, but they found 500. In the first months of the military campaign, Germany achieved five encirclements with over two million prisoners and where 10,000 planes and 12,000 tanks were destroyed. In total, Germany had invaded the Soviet Union with 4,136,000 men. Moscow responded with 3,300,000 men. The objective of the operation was to conquer Western Russia and Ukraine by attacking from three directions.

🇩🇪 On 22 June 1944, three years after Operation Barbarossa, the Red Army launched Operation Bagration, one of the largest military actions of World War II.

🇧🇾The operation destroys the Central Army Group (Heeresgruppe Mitte) of the Wehrmacht in Belarus, penetrates 600 kilometers to the west by recapturing part of the Baltic States, isolating the North Army Group (Heeresgruppe Nord) and destroying the Army Group in Ukraine to the south. All this in two months. The Red Army attacked with 1,258,300 men and almost 4,000 tanks. The Wehrmacht defends with 849,000 men and 495 tanks. For the Germans, it will be the worst military defeat ever. Berlin suffered 139,320 casualties, but although the Red Army had 178,459 casualties for the Reich the losses were impossible to replace.

🇬🇧 MBDA France and MBDA UK are currently developing the FC/ASW (Future-Cruise / Anti-Ship Weapon), proposed name: SPEAR 5 or Perseus, as a new anti-ship/land attack cruise missile. It will replace SCALP,Storm Shadow, Exocet and Harpoon missiles.

Its warhead will host a primary 200 kg charge and two auxiliary 50 kg charges. These 2 auxiliary warheads can either directly contribute the primary one blast or be ejected by lateral bays acting as sub-munitions.
The FC/ASW will have a ramjet capable of reaching Mach 5 speed for a declared range of 300 km. But it's suspected that true range will be over 1000 km.

🇺🇦 Ukraine striked Chonhar bridge linking southern Kherson Oblast to Crimea.

🗣️The bridge is one of the few linking Crimea to Ukrainian mainland and it was allegedly hit by a British supplied Storm Shadow. This critical infrastructure was damaged, diverting traffic to the other few routes connecting southern Ukraine.

🇷🇺 In attempt, the strike was aimed to hamper Russian logistics and supply routes in the region, in the attempt of weakening Russian defense lines in southern Ukraine.
Another likely aim is to severe Crimean peninsula from the mainland.

⛳️ During the last months, Ukraine intensified strikes over Russian ammo and fuel depots, logistic hubs and critical infrastructures, creating severe damages to Russian logistics and resupply capabilities in southern Ukraine.
