No clear winner yet. Israel's Oct 27 election is deadlocked. Exit polls and partial counts (over 50% in) show Netanyahu's bloc and Eisenkot's opposition both short of the 61 seats needed. Likud is the largest party. Final results expected by Friday, then coalition talks.

Neither side wants to govern with the Palestinian block that has 18 seats (a record), meaning Israel may head to another election round with Netanyahu staying on as caretaker PM.

Israel going to the polls changes NOTHING for Palestinians.

Western media treats the election as a contest between Netanyahu’s far-right coalition and a "moderate" opposition. In reality, the alternative to Netanyahu is an alliance of generals and hardliners who have driven the exact same machinery of violence and dispossession for decades:

The ballot box in Tel Aviv is not a choice between occupation and peace. It is a choice between overt extremism under Netanyahu and an internationally sanitized version of the exact same apartheid state under his rivals.
