Since May 1968, tear gas has been a controversial topic. Used extensively during the protests on Saturday, October 17th, it is presented as a simple "riot control agent." However, despite being banned as a weapon of war, it continues to be deployed against civilians. And its effects sometimes go beyond simple irritation.

"In 2019, a biologist and three other doctors collected blood samples from six volunteers who were exposed to tear gas during a "#yellowVests" protest. The analyses revealed a significant increase in #cyanide levels in the blood, rising from 0 to 0.65-0.75 mg per liter. According to the researchers, these levels exceed "the concentration threshold at which the gas can harm health," as stated on the Amnesty International website."

None of this is chaos. If you understand anything about the modern state you know that it is extremely efficient at cracking down on chimpouts. Grand chimpouts like this only exist because the nation state is allowing it to exist. Don't believe me? Think back to covid. Remember when you actually had a genuine populist movement? how fast did it get cracked down on? The anti mask protests, the trucker protests, yellow vests, Two teir kier, J6 storming of the white house. Look how fast governments managed to put down all of them. Look at all the tools governments had at their disposal.

Governments have a vast array of tools at their disposal. Even in the United States, government immediately collaborated with banks, phone companies, and social media to triangulate protest leaders, track financial transactions, and identify instigators. During the trucker protests, authorities banned surrounding gas stations from selling fuel so trucks couldn't keep honking. In the UK, police used CCTV footage, phone data, and online messages to track down leaders, arresting them at their homes at 6:00 AM. If a government wants a protest to disappear, they use these tools to make it go away. Therefore, if a protest takes place for more than six days and burns down a capital, chances are the government is allowing it to happen.

Despite people being upset with the establishment, notice how the establishment's private property, cars, and businesses are not the ones being targeted. Instead, it is average people. When you look at who actually profits from these riots, the picture changes. For instance, when historical monuments and old churches in France are set on fire, average people mourn the loss of European culture, while politicians and labor unions secretly salivate. Once something is destroyed, it needs to be reconstructed and renovated, opening the door for taxpayer funded grift where politically connected consulting firms win lucrative contracts. Furthermore, caretakers of historical sites often welcome a fire because it provides a way to secure government and international funding.

The "fiery but mostly peaceful" BLM protests were actually a real estate venture. Big corporations benefit when mom and pop stores are burned down, clearing prime real estate for entities like Walmart or large investment firms, much like Black Rock profited after the Black Lives Matter protests. Ultimately, the only people who don't benefit from these riots are the actual residents whose cars and businesses are destroyed.

Politicians also benefit immensely for political reasons. Being a politician is one of the best jobs in the world, EU politicians get €10,000 a month for four years just for sitting in a chair, alongside networking and deal making opportunities. However, every four years they face the terrifying prospect of getting fired if they lose their seat, along with all their staff and bureaucracy. When establishment politicians look at polls and panic over the potential rise of right-wing populist parties like Marine Le Pen's, they pull favors with the media and the establishment to trigger a grand protest. These riots place figures like Le Pen in a no-win situation: if she takes a hard stance on deportation, she faces severe political backlash and hate speech laws, but if she takes a soft stance, she demoralizes her right-wing base and causes them to stay home, whereas the far-left remains energized and votes.

Europe's recurring unrest reflects a modern form of feudalism. In a system where citizens are disarmed and forced to rely entirely on the government for protection, the state must periodically create crises to justify why people require that protection. It also grants an illusion of empowerment to young protesters who feel they are finally "taking it to the man". Reports indicate that numerous NGOs tied to leftist parties and Democrats are heavily funded to keep these movements going, training foot soldiers who can later be mobilized against political opponents, much like how Antifa groups appeared during COVID-19 censorship protests to confront free speech demonstrators. Ultimately, when these events happen in Europe, they are not chaotic accidents; the politicians, labor unions, and NGOs gain while ordinary citizens lose.
