In an attempt to address the lack of coordination among the disparate elements sent to Kursk to oppose the enemy offensive, the Russian army's economist-minister created a coordination center that was supposed to have a link with all the units present, to enable them to interact in a coherent manner.

The problem is that even today, Russian units do not communicate with each other, risk shooting at each other and there are many examples where one unit goes on the attack, the surrounding units remain passive because they are not informed that they should prepare to provide support.

The problem is not new, however, and was already noted in 2022 when the Russian "Gendarmerie" (Guard) failed to be properly integrated into the military operation. In the summer-autumn of 2022, the Kursk repeat occurred when the Russian army deserted Balakleya, the gendarmerie being left alone, without orders. When the enemy decided to seize the opportunity offered by the Russian army, it encountered only a few "gendarmes" in the main cities, who had difficulty making an appearance.

No lessons have been learned for two years, in Kursk again, on August 16, amateurism continues, relations between units are not made from the top of the pyramidal hierarchy, but from the bottom, the soldiers or at best the junior officers, sometimes have the opportunity to discuss with their neighbors and to manage to arrange certain local interactions.
