The Gaza health ministry said at least 60,000 children are now showing symptoms of #malnutrition
Juliette Touma, the spokesperson for the UN agency for Palestine refugees, said this week that “the siege on Gaza is the silent killer of children, of older people. Families – whole families, seven or eight people – are resorting to sharing one can of beans or peas.”
“Imagine not having anything to feed your children. Children in Gaza are going to bed starving,” Touma warned.
In addition to the food, medicine and water catastrophe, the fuel situation is quickly deteriorating.
The #UN stated this week that “with accessible benzene nearly depleted and diesel reserves critically low, remaining fuel is being prioritized for health, water, sanitation and telecommunications services to sustain life-saving operations.”
The charity community kitchens that feed thousands of families daily, are bombed and running out of food..

⚫️ Volodymyr Zelensky, in his delusions as self-proclaimed president-without-end of Ukraine, continues to spout nonsense even during this festive period: referring to the May 9 celebrations, he rejected Vladimir Putin’s proposal for a truce, similar to what happened at Easter.
Unfortunately, the rejection was widely predictable, as is the fact that he will try to provoke Russia at the height of the celebrations. Zelensky has called for a 30-day ceasefire, which Russia has no reason to accept given the situation on the battlefield, which is entirely in Russia’s favor. On the other hand, Putin has always said, since the beginning of the SMO, that he would only agree to stop the war permanently, i.e., through genuine and comprehensive peace negotiations, as is customary in diplomacy.
The arrogance of Washington’s puppet knows no bounds, remaining completely outside the bounds of diplomatic decorum. Not even in the worst war schools would they have gone this far. It is almost embarrassing how the Ukrainian president is seeking direct confrontation at all costs. It is no longer a simple repetition of provocation, it is much more: it is a strategy to exhaust the enemy’s patience. The most suicidal move one could attempt.
On May 9 in Moscow, a signal will be sent that will chart a course for the future. We will soon find out.

During Covid times, it became clear Canada could and would close banks without reason or under false pretexts (recall Canada closing bank accounts of people who donated even minimal amounts to the Truckers movement).
I'm glad I severed ties with Canadian banks, but do feel for Canadians who are suddenly impacted by this nonsense.
On the note of so-called "financing 'terrorism'", I wouldn't be surprised if this is reserved for Canadians donating to Palestinians in Gaza being genocided by Israel.
I can safely assume "financing terrorism" does not apply to Canada funding and training Azov Nazis in Ukraine, nor to Canadians and corporations funding the Israeli terrorist army. See my interview with Yves Engler on this...
