❗️Ten Italian jurists issue formal warning to government over Israeli military and defense cooperation

10 jurists urged the Italian government last week to withdraw from the Memorandum of Understanding on military and defense cooperation with Israel, which is due for automatic renewal on 8 June for another five years. They also warned of potential legal action if the government does not act.

The jurists argue that the memorandum constitutes a "blatant, deliberate, systematic, and intersectional violation of general international law, treaty-based international law, and humanitarian law."

Originally signed in Paris on 16 June, 2003, the agreement was made “between the Government of the Italian Republic and the Government of the State of Israel on cooperation in the military and defense sectors." However, the jurists' warning notes that the memorandum has remained "shrouded in military secrecy" since its signing.

🇵🇸 Israeli media published a drone image of the American-Israeli aid distribution hubs, showing Palestinians caged within fenced routes, overcrowded as they waited to receive their weekly calorie-limited aid package.

The facility collapsed after thousands of starving Palestinians flooded the area, prompting American mercenaries to abandon it and flee.

Widow of slain Saudi journalist can’t pursue surveillance claims against Israeli spyware firm  | Courthouse News Service

A Fourth Circuit appeal panel dismissed on Wednesday claims by the widow of journalist Jamal Khashoggi that an Israeli spy firm's technology allowed Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to illegally track her communications in the lead-up to her husband's political assassination.

Though Hanan Elatr Khashoogi, an Egyptian citizen in Virginia, claimed Israel-based NSO Group Technologies used its Pegasus software to illegally track her phone on Saudi Arabia's behalf, the three-judge panel ruled that Hanan had not adequately shown that NSO Group, as opposed to the Saudi or Emirati governments, conducted surveillance of her devices

UAE’s sub-imperial project: Erecting a covert empire across the Red Sea

From Sudan to Socotra, the UAE fuses soft power with militarized control to dominate trade routes, fuel proxy wars, and entrench Israeli–Emirati security interests across the Horn of Africa and Yemen.

🇷🇴 Calin Georgescu, who was scandalously removed from the elections, has announced his retirement from politics to focus on his family.

"I have decided to stop actively participating in the political process and become a passive observer of public and social life. Now I will focus on my family, which needs peace and, above all, health after all the upheavals of recent times”
