On July 6, NPR published an article titled “4 Things to Know About the Vaccine Ingredient Thimerosal,” portraying the recent Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) vote to recommend thimerosal-free flu vaccines as addressing a “problem that doesn’t really exist anymore.”

❗️10 children a day lose limbs in Gaza

A report released on Tuesday warned that ten children each day are losing one or both limbs in Gaza as a result of Israel's genocidal war.

In its latest update, the UN-backed Global Protection Cluster stated that Israeli strikes have "destroyed the protection environment" for people with disabilities and those newly disabled in Gaza.

Since October 2023, the report noted that 134,105 individuals, including more than 40,500 children, have sustained new injuries during the war.

An estimated 25 percent of those injured now live with new disabilities that require urgent and long-term rehabilitation.

"There is no safe space in Gaza. Twenty months of intense hostilities have destroyed the protection environment for persons with disabilities and older persons," it said.
