The future, says the father of VR, will be based not on money but "direct behavior modification as a form of power". Now you can see why some call it the beast system. Everything about this technofuedal hellscape is antithetical to the human soul. Individual sovereignty is not possible in a digital prison. Technofeudalism sucks. Algorithmically optimized AI driven technoeugenics is evil. This whole tyrannical system is a soul raping nightmare, and the psychos who spent decades reaping profits off building it might as well be real life monsters walking around in human skins. There is nothing to normalize about any of this. It will never be okay. Ever. Never ever. This is wrong. It will always be wrong.

The #Bank of International Settlements (central bank OF central banks) has warned in their latest report that the speculative capex spending around AI has reached proportions so absurd — think tulip mania times Roaring 20's times dot-com — that if anything even so much as slows down, the whole house of cards will fall, and the global economy will slip into a deep depression or collapse altogether.

Companies like Nvidia and the hyperscalers (google, meta, oracle) are borrowing money hand over fist, throwing a TRILLION DOLLARS at new capacity, with no understanding of how that will possibly be paid off. But at this point, the idea of stopping it is unthinkable, and the results would be catastrophic.

When (not if) this thing turns—and the signs are already there—those who can grow their own and exist without grid power or supermarkets for a time are the ones who will be left standing.

Preparing now to weather a storm (and I do mean one of generationally epic, historic proportions) would be a very good idea.

We've been quiet recently because Mark Goodwin and I have been working to write the most comprehensive investigation into Polymarket's origins and ambitions to date.

We found that Polymarket's "official" origin story, that Shayne Coplan founded the company alone in 2020 and then built "the company in his bathroom", is a lie. Polymarket really started years earlier as another company called TokenBnk that was deeply tied to Israeli interests, specifically a crypto company founded by Benjamin Netanyahu's niece and nephew. Coplan has actively tried to obfuscate this company from his story and it's not the only thing either.

In Part 1 of this two-part series, we unravel the real history of Polymarket, directly connecting the company to Peter Thiel's efforts to resurrect controversial DARPA programs from its now defunct Information Awareness Office. Polymarket appears to have been chosen by Thiel and his associates to succeed in resurrecting DARPA's Policy Analysis Market where another Thiel-linked company, Augur, had previously failed.
