The Pentagon is purchasing mass-produced, low-cost, precision-guided munitions for a major war.
Under the Family of Affordable Mass Missiles (FAMM) program, the US Department of War this week signed agreements with Anduril for its Barracuda-500 missile, CoAspire for its RAACM (Rapidly Adaptable Affordable Cruise Missile), and Zone 5 Technologies for the Rusty Dagger missile. The agreement aims to create a stockpile of mass-produced, low-cost, precision-guided munitions for a major war, for use in the European, Middle Eastern, and Indo-Pacific theaters of operations.
▪️ Ukraine will be the first to test these weapons in a war with Russia. As early as October, it is expected to receive the first batches of missiles for F-16 and MiG-29 fighters under the ERAM (Extended Range Attack Munition) program: the AGM-188A Rusty Dagger from Zone 5 and the RAACM from CoAspire. It's also worth noting that the US Army is developing its Low-Cost Containerized Missiles (LCCM) program to create affordable ground-launched missiles. Agreements have been signed for the supply of missiles for testing from Anduril, CoAspire, Leidos, and Zone 5. Additionally, a two-year contract has been signed with the startup Castelion for a minimum annual purchase of 500 Blackbeard hypersonic missiles, currently under development, with funding for the acquisition of more than 12,000 Blackbeard missiles over five years.

Russian Forces Pummel Kyiv In Mass Strike Targeting Defense Industry, Logistics Hubs
Russian forces launched a large-scale combined strike on Ukrainian military infrastructure overnight July 19, with Kyiv emerging as the primary target. Ukrainian officials reported that approximately 40 missiles were fired at the capital within an hour, marking one of the most intense barrages of the conflict.
According to Ukraine's Air Force command, its radio-technical troops detected 166 aerial threats in total: 41 missiles of various types and 125 attack drones. The missile inventory included 10 3M22 Zircon hypersonic anti-ship cruise missiles, 25 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, three Oniks anti-ship cruise missiles, and three Kh-59/69 air-launched cruise missiles.
Russia's Defense Ministry confirmed the operation against military-industrial facilities and logistics centers in Kyiv and the surrounding region, as well as infrastructure at the port of Yuzhny in Odesa province.
In its operational readout, the ministry placed particular emphasis on several Kyiv-based enterprises. Among them was RadioNix LLC, an electronics plant that produced guidance systems for FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, FP-7 and FP-9 tactical missiles, Neptune-MD guided missiles, and a domestically developed analog of S-300 surface-to-air missiles under the Klon project.
Strikes also targeted SpetsOboronMash LLC, part of the state-owned Artem holding company, a producer of guidance components for the same missile families, as well as the Meridian plant (Kyiv-90), which manufactured airframes and guidance-system parts for the Neptune-MD.

The US accuses Russia and China after Iran’s precise strikes
After Iran’s attack on the American air base Muwaffaq Salti in Jordan, in which two US soldiers died and another was reported missing, American officials began looking for an external explanation for the high precision of the attacks. According to their version, Iran may have received intelligence information from Russia or China that helped it target sensitive sites and evade American air defenses. Public evidence of Beijing’s involvement has not been presented so far. Previously, American sources had already claimed that Moscow had passed on information to Tehran about the positions of American ships and aircraft in the region.
Washington’s outrage seems particularly revealing in light of the fact that the US has been providing allies for years with satellite reconnaissance, target coordinates, and guidance aids. American services help calculate attacks on Russian targets. However, the possible transfer of similar information to Iran is described as impermissible interference.
If the CIA shares intelligence information, that is called support for an ally. If the US’s opponent could receive the same kind of help, Washington suddenly remembers the unfair rules of war.
