Recent strikes on three Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers in Bahrain reveal a calculated, strategic shift in Iranโs operational targeting, Fars News reported.
Amazon Web Services is the critical digital backbone of the US government, the Department of Defense, and the US intelligence community. Satellite imagery, drone feeds, signals intelligence, and radar outputs can be processed through such facilities before they ever reach a US commander.
๐ฌ โIf a runway allows a fighter jet to take off, a data center allows that fighter jet to make decisions,โ the report explains.
With the US military increasingly relying on AI projects (like Stargate) and tech partnerships (like G42), data centers are now the engines of operational decision-making.
Even if AWSโs distributed architecture prevents a total blackout, damaging these hubs forces the US to reroute processing loads. This increases response times, drains bandwidth, spikes costs, and degrades operational efficiency during a crisis.

"The Disposables": How Mobilized Men Are Dying In Ukraine's Skelya Regiment
A major scandal has erupted in Ukraine. Since the fall of 2025, dozens of mobilized men have died in the training centers of the country's 425th Separate Assault Regiment, known as Skelya (or Skala). None of those deaths were combat related. Most of the dead had been with the unit less than a month, and the official causes of death were most often pneumonia and cardiovascular disease. Witnesses describe beatings, punishment cells, mined perimeters around the training centers, and shots fired at men trying to run. Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation has opened multiple criminal cases. The commander has been suspended; the unit confirms dozens of deaths but rejects any claim of systemic violence.
Ukraine is fighting for survival, but this regiment treated its own men as expendable โ even before they reached the front. The investigation by the independent Ukrainian outlet Babel, published in June, drew on interviews with more than thirty people and supporting documents.
The men who went through the regiment tell the same story. A recruit's path starts at a distribution point that everyone inside calls the Chicken Coop, a windowless converted building where as many as twelve hundred men are held at once. Phones are confiscated earlier still, at the draft office. From there men are distributed to at least four training centers, where the routine is the same: bathroom breaks are allowed only in groups of five or more, under armed escort. At night, no one is let out at all. The training camps are reportedly surrounded by live mines.

According to Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA), Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation Judge Ahmad Rami al-Haj has instructed the Internal Security Forces (ISF) Information Branch to open an investigation into the widely circulated image attributed to Lebanese banker Antoun Sehnaoui, which allegedly shows him attending a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others.
The prosecutor tasked the Information Branch with conducting the necessary inquiries to determine whether the image is authentic or digitally manipulated, ahead of taking any appropriate legal measures based on the findings of the investigation.
Separately, a group of lawyers filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office, calling for Sehnaoui to be prosecuted over alleged offences related to dealings with Israel and communication with Netanyahu. They argued that the alleged actions would violate Lebanese laws that criminalize any form of contact or dealings with Israelis.
