Serotonin theory of depression has been refuted after 30 years — making people worse — with antidepressants. Only cognitive behaviour therapy is good for coping with depression. Exercise and ice cold bath prevents depression. Contraindications for ice cold bath: High blood pressure, diabetes, neuropathies, poor circulation, lung and heart diseases
Psychiatrists weren’t regarded by doctors and other specialties as being very medical. They were seen more as storytellers (quacks) as opposed to having a scientific basis.
