According to a formerly secret memorandum of conversation (1975) George Bush was already groomed to be "promoted to president". Announced by Kissinger in front of the communist Chinese dictator, Chairman Mao. According to the memo, his promotion to president was already planned to be 1980. Kissinger also confirmed that Japan will not be allowed to receive any hegemony in Asia until Yasuhiro Nakasone (his own student), would take power — this happened in 1982.
