URGENT – From the President of the International Association of Disaster Management (IADM)

Millions of people in Iran are currently cut off from the internet and from telephone networks. Families cannot reach one another. Doctors and emergency teams cannot coordinate care. A nation is being forced into silence.

This is not a political matter.
This is a humanitarian emergency.

Reports indicate that civilians have been injured, detained, and killed, while hospitals and first responders struggle to operate without communications and support. When people cannot call for help, lives are lost.

I call on all IADM members, partners, and the international community to act now:
Be a voice for the Iranian people.
Share verified information.
Stand for the protection of civilians, healthcare workers, and emergency responders.
Demand the restoration of communications for humanitarian and medical use.

Silence must never be used as a weapon against a population.
The people of Iran must be seen, heard, and protected.
