🔻Imam Husayn (‘a) is the most stimulating part of our religion.
🔸These days are the days of the anniversaries of the births of #Imam_Husayn (‘a), Aba al-Fazl #Abbas and #Imam_Sajjad (‘a). Karbala and the day of #Ashura of Aba Abdillah (‘a) are the most stimulating parts of our religion. No other part of religion is like this to be able to create this much #enthusiasm in a person’s heart. Sometimes you see people putting more energy for Ashura than for the Nights of Power. Why? Because what we do for the day of Ashura is mostly due to our enthusiasm, and not to our fear. It is not like the Nights of Power when we pray because we are afraid that our destiny will be ruined or our sins won’t be forgiven. Of course, fear is good and necessary, but it is incomparable with respect to enthusiasm.
🔸On the day of Ashura you go to religious gatherings and marches because of your enthusiasm for Aba Abdillah (‘a). On Ashura, people are not even after gaining rewards, and they do things because of their pure enthusiasm, which is the product of their pure love. What other factor can create this enthusiasm in us like Aba Abdillah al-Husayn (‘a)? This enthusiasm is truly amazing.

🔻Crying while praying is beautiful. But, thinking about the text of a supplication is sometimes more valuable.
🔻Out of curiosity, let’s study the text of one of Imam Ali’s (‘a) talks with God.
👉🏼A Message on the Occasion of the Beginning of the Month of Sha’ban
🔸Basically, supplications can be read in several ways. One time, a person can study a supplication due to his #curiosity. One time, a person can read a supplication in order to #think. And one time, a person can read a supplication with tears and #crying.
🔸When a person hears that a private conversation between the Commander of the Faithful, Ali (‘a), and God has been recorded somewhere, this should spark one’s curiosity. A person should take a look to see what this conversation was. Imagine you are behind the door of a room where Ali (‘a) is talking with God, and his words can be heard. If you are allowed to hear his voice, won’t you become curious to know what subjects the Commander of the Faithful (‘a) raises when talking with God?
🔸A prayer that has reached us from an Imam is in fact the essence of his faith, piety and understanding. The #Shabaniah_Supplication is the essence of the spiritual existence of the Commander of the Faithful (‘a). The phrases of this supplication are very thought-provoking. They can compel us to think. If a person is used to thinking a lot, the best text for thought is this supplication.
🔸One of the most virtuous worship acts is thinking, but how should we think? One way is for us to place this supplication in front of ourselves. After we have studied it along with its translation and become familiar with its topics, then we should go back and read it again while thinking about it.
🔸Of course, crying when reading a supplication is very beautiful in itself too. However, thinking is not a small matter either. Sometimes it’s even more valuable than crying. After studying and thinking, if a supplication was appealing to a person, he/she can read some phrases of this supplication again in a quiet place like a private, whispered conversation between God and him/herself. If fact, talking with God is a private conversation with Him.

🔸One common, uninformed way of looking at the topic of the #Saviour is to believe that the Imam (‘a.j.) will guide humankind with just the use of #miracles - without people carrying out their duties, separate from the natural structure of human society and separate from the divine customs in relation to the course of history - towards Heaven and an ideal situation.
🔸This way of thinking ignores humankind’s dignity, belittles religion and does not take into account God’s unalterable traditions. Eventually, this will lead to an irresponsible and useless way of #awaiting the Saviour.

🔻Will the Saviour solve all matters with a sword?!
🔸Some people have the common, uninformed impression that when the #Saviour comes he will solve all problems with a #sword! Of course, in the process of the Saviour’s uprising, a sword (weapons) will definitely be used. However, this requires much preparation and will also be accompanied by many necessities. The day, when Ali bin Abi Talib’s (‘a) hands were tied up, there was a sword, but it was not used due to a lack in the preliminaries and necessities. This sword is the same sword; the only difference is that the situation will be right for it to be used at that time.
🔸If using a sword is depicted without paying attention to its principles, then the image that the enemies of the Imam (‘a.j.) present to the world to frighten people from him will be confirmed. They depict an image of an oppressive, imprudent ruler who only wishes to solve everything with his sword when he comes!
