📌 Imam Sadiq’s (‘a) Prayer for Imam Husayn’s (‘a) Pilgrims
🔸Imam Sadiq (‘a) said in his supplication to God, “O God, Who has made us special with dignity and made us to be the successors of the Holy Prophet (s), You have promised to allow us to intercede for others, and You have made people’s hearts incline towards us. Forgive the sins of the pilgrims of Imam Husayn’s (‘a) grave. These are people who have spent money to make this pilgrimage and have put their bodies into discomfort due to the interest and love that they have for us, the hope that they have in You, to make your Prophet (s) happy, to respond to our command, to anger our enemies, etc.” (Thawab al-Amaal, p. 96)

A person can have some small interests, and some deep and intense interests. We have been told that our slight interests should be for material affairs and to use our intense interests for God and spiritual affairs so that we may deeply feel the feeling of happiness. We do the opposite of what we should do, and this is the beginning of our entanglements.

Firstly, the sinful person is turned over to God, and God is harsher. Secondly, the calmness and joy, which come from forgiving are more than that which come from taking revenge. Thirdly, God is the best compensator and no other compensation can reach to His compensation.

What is more important than not sinning, is to be humble before God. And that which is uglier than sinning, is to be arrogant in front of God. The ugliness of sinning is mostly due to the fact that we are disobeying God; otherwise, it is obvious that sinning in itself is harmful for a person. In the same way, the beauty of a good deed is mostly because we are being obedient to God and not its natural benefits.

This liking can increase to such an extent that it includes liking those who like the Household of the Prophet (‘a) too.
