🔻God determines much of our destiny based on our way of looking at things.
🔻What is your opinion about God? God will behave with you in this way!

👉🏼 Perspective (6)

🔸Having a good and correct way of looking at things is so important that God determines much of our destiny in this world and many of our rewards or punishments in the Hereafter based on our outlook.

🔸Of course, many talk about having a “positive outlook” very exaggeratedly. For example, they say, “Whatever your way of looking at things is, the world will change based on your outlook!” However, it is not like this. God does not stop testing, punishing or rewarding His servant in this world, although it may be done very complicatedly. But in the long run, a person’s way of looking at things is very effective.

🔸The way we look at things and how we think about God effect how God behaves with us. According to a tradition, God says, “My way of dealing with My servant is based on My servant’s #opinion.” [Fiqh al-Reza (‘a), p. 361] What is your opinion about Him? He will behave with you in that way!

🔸Having a #favourable_opinion about God shows how we think about Him. Sometimes, if we do not have a favourable opinion about God, this turns into the greatest, unforgivable sin. This is similar to how in the Arafaat desert on the day of Arafah God forgives everyone on that day except a person who does not have a favourable opinion about God.
It is not only our destiny in this world, which depends on our #perspective. Perhaps it can be said that on the Day of Judgment no action is useful except having a favourable opinion about God! You cannot give charity, pray, fast, etc. over there. Based on a tradition however, one action is effective there, and that is having a favourable opinion about God.

🔸A tradition says, “On the Day of Judgment, they want to take a servant towards the punishment. He/she turns, looks behind, and says, “God I did not think You would punish me.” They mean, “This wasn’t my opinion about You!” God replies, “Take My servant to Heaven because of his/her opinion (about Me)!” [Fiqh al-Reza (‘a), p. 361]
