US-Botschaft in der Ukraine hat am Samstag alle Dokumente über vom Pentagon finanzierte Biolabors in der Ukraine von ihrer Website entfernt.

Das Botschaftspersonal vergaß, ein Dokument zu entfernen, aus dem hervorgeht, dass das Pentagon zwei neue Biolabore in Kiew und Odessa finanziert.

Die Ukraine hat keine Kontrolle über die militärischen Biolabore. Der ukrainischen Regierung ist es nicht gestattet, sensible Informationen über das Programm zu veröffentlichen.

Eines der Labors befindet sich in Charkow. Im Januar 2016 starben dort innerhalb von zwei Tagen mindestens 20 ukrainische Soldaten an einem grippeähnlichen Virus. Weitere 200 Soldaten wurden ins Krankenhaus eingeliefert. Die Regierung machte keine Angaben zu den verstorbenen Soldaten.
