Something to speak at my first day at college. Can anyone please review it and spot grammatical errors or any other way to improve.

In this economy, a certification or a degree isn’t enough to get by. It really concerns me to see so many of my seniors choose whatever job pays the most and give up on their dreams and in their despair, they tell themselves everything is fine and lose their inner child. So I want to set clear goals for myself and strive towards them while I’m still in college. Being a “good kid”, doing what you’re told and fitting in, may be what society wants. But it doesn’t make you the kind of person who can change society because you’ll never be extraordinary that way. Unfortunately, the world may not always be at peace so even if I never really do fit in, I hope other young people share my concerns. I want to be able to decide for myself who I should and shouldn’t listen to and I want to share the way I feel with lots of people. I know for a fact that when everyone remembers their mission in life, they have the power to change the world and that the world is always with them. That’s what I want to share with people; to wake their hearts from their slumber.
