Happiness, is it?

My bracket collection of bangles,
Makes me wanna think less of diamond.
A satire of ending nonsense
Created my form of happiness below sunset.

The thirst for water that confound hunger,
Gives a sweet melody music that has no sound
To you, I'm broken and just seeking a shoulder
But I need no food neither am I dying any time soon.

This poem can prove to have no meaning
Deep insight's only for those who can seek it.
I have spoken, I'll enter my dream smiling
since I'm making no sense to only those who can't read it.

You were always a boy
And she loved that about you
When you became a man
She believed you will understand

When you looked into her yes
Happiness shone like a diamond
When you asked for her hand
She knew you will never let her go

You lived life one day at a time
But she knew she will never be harmed
Your mistakes did make her cry
But she slept every night in your arms

She loved you more than you deserved
But when you were ready, she was gone
She knew everything about your heart
But when you held it out, she had moved on

You were tough on the outside
But she knew your secrets and dreams
You loved no woman other than her
But all she heard that night were your screams

You didn't ever think she would leave
But when you looked back, she was gone
At times, love is something that's gotta give
Love stories dont always have happy endings

Shut the fuck up!
It is all fucking planned
I come out my world
Where darkness taught me to live
In this filthy and shady light
You give me orders to live a life
What if I decide not to cry
What if I decide not to come
What if I decide not to be like you
Planned, sophisticated and still clumsy
What if I decide to be free
Like the morning air
Cherishing and nourishing the leaves of life
Here in your world, is order
What if I decide to be chaos
Maybe I’m not sane
Maybe I’m an infant
But who gave you right to make these rule
The rule of laughing
The rule of crying
The rule of love
I wanna run where I’m just me
But I’m still you
Your image in my soul
Just wants me dead
It turns out I ain’t a decider
But I fight to decide
To decide my fate
And this fight will end
With only my end
It’s all fucking planned
Shut the fuck up!

DAY 22
CONDITION: Historical fiction

PROMPT: Think of any television, movie, book, or historical character that inspires you. They can be living or dead. Write a journey story with this character as your guide.

"Wake up you lazy, gigantic sloth!"

...
I was groggied. My eyes opened wearily and landed on something. I mean, someone. Someone strange. Strange yet oddly familiar. Only one person on earth sounded like that. Then it clicked!

"WHOA!! ARE YOU?!"
"But how am I..?"
"And I'm breathing? Underwater?!"
...

"Hey fart face, what are you getting all jumpy about?" He began.

I was awestruck. It was him! Odd looking head, limp nose. Limp everything. Face creased from frowning so much. Worn out shirt because no one from here ever changed clothes!

"Hey, hotshot! I'm talking here. And wipe that fuzzy smile of your face. I took a break to get away from him...Tsk, can't have you smiling the same way he does." He continued.

"You took a break to get away from him?"

"Yes him! That fry cook. His square head. Icky yellow skin. His singing. AND HIS TERRIBLE TERRIBLE LAUGH!
I can't stand him! I hate him. I hate him! I HATE HIM!"
Squidward stomped the seabed. Fuming as usual.

"Hey, Squidward. SpongeBob isn't so bad. I thought Squillion was your nemesis."

"EVERYTHING YOU HAVE HEARD ABOUT US IS A LIE! It's all a blasted lie! You think it was my destiny to work for Krabbs?! Know how I got like this? It was a mixup. A big stinking mixup!"

It was fun to see Squidward blow up on TV. But this? It was classic! I put on my most empathetic face. Even if he claimed everything I knew was a lie, I knew the uptight squid loved to be listened to. All the time!

He pulled out his tentacle watch and sighed. "I hate my life." He muttered as he turned around to leave.

"Don't leave!" I begged.

"And why shouldn't I? Moron!"

"Squidward. I want to know the truth. I want to know what this world is supposed to be. I want to know where things went wrong. I want to..."

"Oh shut your face you gargantuan runt. If you really want to know. I'll tell you where to go and that's that." He snapped.

I felt my ears perk...

"Get out of my life and back to the surface. Stinking itch!"

"Hey squid! Another mean word and I'll stomp on you."

His face melted into a dry smile.
"Persistent I see. You remind me of a younger me. Dashing, devilishly handsome. Great life ahead of me. Do you happen to play the clarinet too?"

"No dice. Tell me where I have to go to know the truth!"

He moved up to my level. Held my shoulder and pointed really far out. I really squinted hoping to see what he was looking at.

"You see that thing way over there?" He asked.

"No please. I guess I'm shortsighted underwater."

He slapped his face in dasappointment.
"Well, blind behemoth. That's Davey Jone's locker. If you really want the truth, that's where to start. Now, get your pathetic self out of my pathetic life... Dimbo."

"On account of not stomping you right now. You're going to come with me." I scolded Squidward?

He looked me right in the eyes, "And why should I come with you?"

I shrugged..."You won't have to put up with SpongeBob or Krabbs. And maybe. Just maybe, we can make things the way they are supposed to be. Deal?"

"AWAY FROM SPONGEBOB?!!! YES!!!! Wait here, I'll go get my clarinet..."

Author's note.
The journey to "the truth" takes place in the sequel.
😂💔 I honestly don't think I'll write the sequel.
THINGS

Pretty all the things
Earth , wind ,and sky
Subtle all the sounds
Thunder, rain or joy
Humans, demons, beasts
All is his pry
Deadones blessed livelong
Undying spirits lie
Sombre frigid souls
Dark addled hearts
Hustle - bustle of days
Nights, sad and dry
Eyes filled with dew
Mouth's mourn and cry
Single, love in shape
Parted, you and I

Chaos

In a world of chaos,

Where crime is a lurking at the next corner

Where revolution is reverberating in the hashtags

Where freedom of expression is just another misnomer

Where rainbow of life turned into binaries of black and white

Where obscure image of past is destroying our crystal present

In this world of chaos

Let 'you' be a pure soul(because I cannot)

DAY 23

||PART 1||
A safe distance apart,The two men stared each other down. They were brothers. Brothers that had fallen out of love. Eight storeys high. They never imagined they'd have something to fight about. At least not there. Not where they were born. The victor would come down probably bruised. Probably battered. Probably half-dead...or probably dead clasping the knowledge that he ruined the other forever.

...

"Boris, this wasn't part of the deal."

"Greco. Greco. Don't even speak of a deal. You betrayed me. You betrayed us. Years ago."Boris' addictions had made his voice a permanent snarl. It was a mirror of his person. Icy. Detached.

"I betrayed no one!" Greco growled. He had slowly learnt to speak again. Back when he lost half his tongue, he did speak. Yet no one understood. Except her.

"Greco. You betrayed me. Betrayed us. Betrayed the cause. You chose the girl and that cost us father."

"Father's death has nothing to do with this! He was a dead man walking." Greco countered.

"How dare you!"
Boris flew into Greco. Cutting his cheek with a Savage elbow.
Greco was blown metres back into the stack of empty kegs.

Boris walked up menacingly to his brother.
"Not another word about father. You're not worthy of him."

Greco hauled himself off the ground. Blood oozing out of the cut. Leaning against the keg that dug into his delicate left rib.

"Father was bound to die. Payment for all the lives he destroyed."

"And what about the ones he SAVED!?" Boris roared with a punt kick into Greco's belly.
"You owe him your life!"

The blast buckled Greco's quivering legs. The impact sent a spasm through his body. His insides had folded over within.

"GRECO! LOOK AT ME." Boris towered over him, and pushed his head with taunting palm thrusts.

Greco said nothing in between grunts. Boris was always stronger, faster, sharper. Boris was always better.

"Look at me, Greco! Your daughter pointed this at me . You thought it could protect her? You thought this could stop me?"

Greco's eyes met the dangling crucifix. He looked higher and saw the devil that wasn't afraid of the cross.

Greco crunched his eyebrows. Defiant of the pain running through him.
"I came for them. I didn't come to fight you."
He voiced almost inaudibly, slowly picking himself off the ground.

"It's not me you should be worried about, Greco."
Boris grinned, pointing to the crane on the next roof.

"Buffoon! Boris! No movie. No book! No one ever ties the enemy's family to a crane on the other building!" Greco snapped, clenching his fists though his legs were still jelly.

"Oh wow! I always knew I'd invent something someday." Boris said, with traces his childhood sarcasm.

"Boris. Let go of Penelope's crucifix."

"Thought you'd never ask."
Boris dropped the crucifix and defaced it with the sole of his boots. Greco's eyes caught fire. He fought back tears. He felt powerless. His one true win in life at the mercy of his brother who had no traces of conscience left?

Crushing the crucifix excited Boris. It didn't take long for the ecstacy to vanish. He took something from his pocket and tapped the red button...
"The crane goes down in ten minutes."

#MA #review #shortstory
||PART TWO||
Greco roared with a huge burst out of nowhere. The shoulder tackle flattened Boris. The impact wasn't enough to free the detonator from Boris' rugged palms.

Boris saw an opening and took it. He stabbed Greco in nape with another elbow. A hip thrust was enough to throw his groaning brother off him.

"You weak rat." Boris said as he sprung up. Mimicking the gladiators he had idolized his whole life.

Greco picked himself off the ground, still neglecting the leak in his face from the earlier elbow. Diving in first had failed. He took some steps back to prepare for what Boris was going to throw at him.

"Little Greco scared to fight?" Boris taunted.

He closed the gap and locked in a grapple. Greco didn't buckle under the strain. The tugging and pushing was terminated by a damning knee into the ribcage. Boris planted it right where the keg had been. A spinning forearm into Greco's temple made him kiss the ground.

Greco's lights weren't out. The blow released another internal gush. He grunted, favouring his rib cage as he grovelled.

Boris wiped the splatter droplets off his forearm. He was a heartless mercenary. He was known for staying clean on the job.

"You are pathetic. Love made you weak!" Boris started as he circled his brother who still hadn't found his footing.

"It...It wasn't love. I chose to walk. I chose to walk away from this life."
Greco's words were even more obscured. By gasps and coughs.

"You chose to walk away. Returning behind her back because you craved the excitement huh!?"

"Boris...the crucifix wasn't to guard against you. Penelope... we needed money for her surgery. I gave her that crucifix to keep her hopes alive. This was my last resort."

"Pity to watch her blow to bits then!"
Boris flew in with a thundering right. Greco ducked and stationed himself under his brother's torso. His upward thrust flung Boris over.
Greco crumbled to the ground after the thrust. He heard Boris crash into the kegs and dragged himself backwards to create some more distance between them...

Boris didn't shoot up. Boris didn't groan. There was serenity...

Greco crawled to the kegs. Cautiously. Almost double mindedly. The thought of Boris ambushing flashed across his eyes ten times over.

His brother lay limp on his tummy amongst the kegs. Bleeding from his head. It must have been an awkward landing. Greco's eyes shot open.
"The detonator!"
He reached beyond Boris frozen fingers and grabbed it.
"SHIT! NO BUTTON TO STOP THE COUNTDOWN?!"
His rage took over. He hoisted a keg and rammed it into Boris's still frame. He had no room left for remorse.

SIX MORE MINUTES!

Greco charged toward the door that led to the stairwell. He fought off the part of him that wanted to go back for Penelope's crucifix. He supported his left side the whole way.
...
"KEEP RUNNING GRECO!!!"

Greco shuddered and muttered underneath.
"He's a freaking robot!"

Boris was boiling. Face all bloodied. Crimson eyes saturated with hatred. The chase was on.
Greco had made it to the door.
The thumping boots behind him got louder after every flight of stairs he cleared. Then louder still.
"Greco! Give it up!"
The echos rung down the stairwell...

"YOU ARE MINE!"
Boris soared. His hand hooked Greco's just before the descent to the fourth floor.
Greco clawed at his captor's forearm. Boris was strong. Too strong. He pulled Greco in and blasted him into the wall with a barge. Once. Twice. Then again, making sure Greco's head bounced off the wall too.

"Ain't so lucky now huh?" His claw-like grip crushed Greco's lumpy face. Greco groaned as Boris squeezed on.
"It's over...Brother."

Boris readied his fist.

"Aaargh!" The cry rung through the stairwell of the abandoned building. The impact bent him over. He gasped. He squealed. Greco sent Boris rolling down the stairs after dealing a blow to his nether regions. The sight was ghastly. Necks weren't made to bend that way...

Three minutes left. Mavis and Penelope were counting on him.
...

#MA #review #shortstory
||PART THREE||
Greco was on the roof.
"Daddy!!" Penelope's voice pierced through the moonlit night. Mavis perked up out of her hopelessness.
Boris had them tied on opposite sides of the crane.
Greco allowed the timer to leave his hand. There was enough weight on his shoulders already. He hobbled as fast as he could. Heart pounding his insides sore. Lump clinging tightly to his throat.

"Hold on I'm going to get you off of there!!" He dished out his last ounces of courage to comfort them.

"Daddy!! Daddy!!" Penelope's shrieks cut through his heart like cheese. She was watching the timer countdown. She knew what it meant. Boris strapped it there to serve that very purpose.

"Charles! Free our daughter. Free her first!" Mavis' motherly instinct burst through. She cared not for her life. Only Penelope mattered.

Greco's mind was made up. He wrestled with the chords Boris had bundled around her. As they run he kept looking back at what they had chosen to leave behind. There was nothing he could do...

-KABOOM!!!-

They made it down in time...She was beside herself. Inconsolable. Much had been lost. Too much to bear. All in one night.
Sirens were the last thing Greco heard.

ONE YEAR LATER.
"It's beautiful. Now, she will always be here with us." He said as he caressed her.

"We're going to name her Penelope" Greco continued.

Mavis nodded in agreement...

You are a beautiful mystery,
Clad in gorgeous enigma...
You are the dictionary were words are still mystery...
You are the poem, a telltale heart beating inside ,a lesson in vengeance...
You are the raw words read aloud by daring poet..
You are the novel he read under the starlight...
You are the pen running out of ink...
You are the rose they drew when they were bored,an outline with potential...
You are the 1st dream of the boy , too scared of nightmares to sleep...
You are the fire in the lightning , sparkle in the snow , glitter in the rain , chill of winter , roar of summer...
You are the beautiful dream from the cave of dark nights...
You are the nightmare in the dress of day dream...
You are the thorn of grace...
You are the passion of all hopes...
You are the incomplete story ,entrancing soul , flawed beauty....
You are a mystery,
Beautiful mystery,
Unsolved mystery....

Don't stand at my grave and weep
I'm not there. I don't sleep
I'm thousand winds that blow
I'm the diamond glints on the snow
I'm the sunlight on ripened grain
I'm the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning rush
I'm the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds of circling flight
I'm the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I'm not there
I did not die.......
Men could not see-
Their eyelids apart or close.
Every one was lost,
As a blind cannot lead the blind

The world was yearning
For someone with a piece of light
So they could see
The world, and their purpose of life.

Then the prophet came
With light - that if flashed on the sun
The sun will be like a cloud
That casts its shadow on a land

Yet many turned away
And chose to close their eyes
They continued to wander
And succeeded in wasting their time.

Hi everyone, pls read this poem and give me ur suggestions. It will be helpfull for me to improve.

POVERTY

He realized everyone around him was struggling with poverty.

For the child who gave one bucks in the morning,

Poverty was the inability to go on an excursion with her classmates.

For the old man who turned his face away,

Poverty was the insufficiency of money to buy the liquor for the night.

For the boy who walked away without paying attension,

Poverty was the inability to afford for a bike.

For the businessman who unwittingly handed over 100 bucks,

Poverty was the struggle to build the third storey of his two storey house.

At night, he alone, ate only a little food provided by someone and slept on the footpath rich.

Love if can be understood can't be
It's the truth we both know but refuse to see
not that our hearts are too callous to feel
But the 'I miss you' is too big of a deal

Tell me how do you sleep every night
Knowing that a heart aches for you miles away
Wonder it's not a lot for you to say Hi
Knowing that the life in me is beginning to fade

You took my hand although I acted so tough and you made me touch your soul
I knew it will be difficult for me to give up
the things you will ask me to hold

Your photograph speaks to me on my lonely nights
In one hand a cigarette, in the other a whiskey glass
Your old texts on my screen, flashbacks in front of my eyes
I am hurting inside though I smile through all my cracks

We are not to be blamed but only to be in love
How could we have known life has its own plans
As I take your name in every prayer I send above
Wish my heart had turned to stone before it slipped from your hands

Love

Through the ocean of time,
I found an angel meant to be mine
It was a long journey with many rides.
Many ups i cannot count,
And so many downs i can't recount.

Love is the gum that binds you to your deeds,
It is finding happiness even in a dangerous sea.
A delicate power that keeps you alive
The only storm you cannot do without.

My soul have been apart for so long,
Then you came with a touch so strong
Powerful enough to bring back this soul so lost
Just like an angel, you're the only one i want.

Like a bee without a sting,
Only you bring a smile to my face.
If i don't have you in my life, what would i do?
I'll be broken, lost, finished without a redo.

Love me like I do to you
Be the song that my heart will always listen to
Be the angel that I see,
Give me the love money can't buy.

DAY 24
PROMPT:Your cell phone rings with an unknown number. You answer and the voice on the other end says, “I’m the sister that you didn’t know you had. Want to know more?”

"Wow! Of course I want to know more. I hope you'll talk about the wife I didn't know I had, my mystery grandchildren and my patience which I clearly don't have. Get off my line. Frigging scam!"

Life at his new job was rosy. He never quite got hold of any petals though. The thorns stabbed him everywhere he turned. First his boss, then his clammy workmate who kept stinking up the office with gruesome farts.

He was the butt of every joke. Every shade was thrown flabby physique and his extra padded rump. He started out believing the body shaming would stop...Now he had learnt to let it all bounce off him.

His messy hair, unevenly buttoned shirt and deep frown showed how nice his life was going.

"Tsk, at least her voice was compensation enough, why do the good ones get rotten all the time?" He said shoving his phone into his pocket once more.

Ben felt something. He felt a weight leave his heart. He felt this buzz within. It spilled over onto his poopy droopy face. He found himself smiling. Smiling to himself?

He was suddenly at peace. Shockingly!
He almost felt nimble.
What was happening?!
...
Unlocking his door-the best part of his day. It won him a free ticket to do a trust fall. His beloved friend always caught him. His bed was ever reliable.
He'd take off his clothes later. Much much later. Cuddling his pillow did him good. It gave him a glimpse of what love would feel like.

His phone started singing. He cussed a bit at the person who had chosen the worst to call him.

That number!

"Oh come on! Which scam calls twice?"

He dropped the crying phone on his bedside table. He couldn't be bothered.

"Pick up the phone, pick up the phone, pick up the phone."

Someone was speaking. With one voice, yet many. The room was silent yet the commands grew louder. His fingers dug into the sides of his head to block his ears. He squirmed restlessly, rolling from side to side. He was doing all it took to displace the voices from his head. They just wouldn't leave!

He sat up on his bed and exploded. "Shut up! Whoever you are!! Get out of my head!!!!"

His roar sent quivers through the walls of his house. He had emptied his belly of pent up frustration.

There was silence.

Slowly, he freed his ears. Letting down his hands. Listening to see if he had really scared away the voice...His attention quickly shifted to his phone. There was something about that number.

"I give up. Look behind you."
He read off the screen.

With apprehension, he eyeballed his screen some more.None of his softwares showed texts that way.

"Look behind you? Oh me?OH...ME." He gulped.

His shirt clung to his skin, cold sweat broke everywhere. His nervous itch broke out.But he couldn't scratch...someone.Or something. It was there. Behind him. Breathing on his neck.

He turned instantly with fists readied and eyes screwed shut. His fists were for covering his face. The twenty four year old man was on the edge of pissing his pants.

"Hey. You talk pretty tough but you can't handle a visitor?"

His his lips stopped quivering. The voice. The scam's beautiful beautiful voice. The scam was in his room?!

Her palms. Supple beyond anything he'd felt, touched his threatening fists. The sensation caused his eyes to flutter open.

"Who...are... you?"

She flashed a white set of perfect teeth, puckered up and leaned in. Her forehead, a symbol lit up on it. White radiant light. Growing more intense as she closed in.

She planted her lips. He was perplexed in every way. She kissed his nose?!

Before his tongue could express disgust, her forehead met his...

Radiance all around. He couldn't even force his eyes open. Something was happening. She exhaled and withdrew wearing the brightest smile. His eyes flew open..

"Fairies exist? My father didn't die in a car crash? He's the King of the fairies?!"

She nodded in amusement. He had so much to learn...
