Lockdown Day 1

Couch fixed and cookies beside
Preparing for complete solitary
Day 1 and seemingly all fine
Mom's troublesome extravagant precautions demeanour
Doors-bolted, windows shut
Curtains drawn, mouths zipped
And father discovered, from trash an ancient half-cracked skin toned carrom-board
but little sister cried for snakes and ladders
And we chose to end-up watching television
Mom fried some 'Bread-pakodas' and 'papads' for us
And we all were on a 21-days tour
Played rummy, cracked jokes, we faked smiles on daddy's jokes and took interest in mom's third year break-up story
Had supper and on bed for second day of lockdown

BEAUTY BEYOND

Your beauty makes beautiful;
You have made a garland over my head;
Once I had a crown of thorns around my head but it has become a beautiful lotus flowers;

I went through series of confusions just to understand my own creation;

I took form as a commoner but I am your crown of beauty buried in mortality;
I rose up into immortality;
Once I heard from the scriptures "ye are Gods" and I decided to dig up the gold buried within my own body;

Darkness took hold of me and I had to create light out of the darkness;
It was a wrestling with the forces from within and i nearly gave up on my self;

Arise oh my higher self, see the troubles I went through but now you have enthroned me over the universe;
Grace has spoken over me;

My beauty spreads and conquer evil in the whole creation;
I am the eternal splendor unspeakable;

The commoner pierced through the veil and a kingdom is forever established;
You're beautiful beyond compare!!
