"The problem with small block Bitcoin is that its full privacy features cannot be taken advantage of. Bitcoin’s robust privacy capabilities aside, because BTC HODL’ers have been brainwashed into the digital gold, store of value, inflation hedge narrative, the only true use case of BTC is to sell for fiat currency. Like sheep to the slaughter, believers in the false narrative willingly link their addresses to their identity, making them easy targets in case of blatant moves against the government". https://coingeek.com/the-veil-is-being-lifted-from-btc/

The veil is being lifted from BTC - CoinGeek
As the price drops, BTC’s ineptitude is becoming more widely understood, especially as it continues to demonstrate its failure as ‘digital gold’ situations where it should shine.
I am not here to help you sell bitcoin. I should not need to help you if you want to sell a world with less corruption to people. A world where people are held accountable for their actions and one where short-term manipulations take second place to long-term stewardship is one that most people in society would be happy to embrace.
Greg and others will find that they can do very little now and the truth that you know of is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. It does not matter whether you like intellectual property, you live in a world of property rights and not one of Communist redistribution. It doesn't matter whether you think other people should be forced to work for you and allow you to use the product of their work effort without payment, for that is what a world without patents really is. If you don't like something, crying about it will do little.
More importantly, not a single thing you say about me will stop me from working or creating. You won't manage to slow me, divert me or change what I'm doing. The time where you could have done that is passed.

Hacks of crypto firms have exploded since January, which raises questions about the security of blockchain and web3 technologies.

Why Enterprise Won't Drive Bitcoin Adoption
In this video, I assert that Enterprise adoption will not drive Bitcoin forward due to businesses typically being resistant to change on many levels, as I have personally experienced during my former career as an ERP consultant.

Let me explain something to everyone about bitcoin. The protocol is fixed. There is a unilateral contract that was set in 2009 when the product was released. That contract has no provision for change. Rather, it has a promise of stability. While some of the codes that are currently disabled will not be re-enabled anytime soon others will be. None of this will impact any existing transaction now all that may exist in the future. But, you have no guarantee or promise of when some of the other codes that are not currently used will be implemented and you shouldn’t be developing anything that is based on them.
The operation of nodes is very simply defined in overview in section 5 of my White Paper. This is not negotiable. It does not matter that you don’t like it. It does not matter if you think it can be optimised in a better way or improved. That is it. Simplicity is actually a good thing in complex systems.
There is no consensus on block cap. Honestly, I’m getting tired of this and it should be what can be handled by the majority of nodes. That is by computational power. If the size of the blocks is too large for a node, this is capitalism and that node goes out of business. If you want to run a rasberrypie go to BTC.
In time... It will be an INTERESTING year
I won't say more for the moment

What progress has been made in 2021?
2021 has been a busy year for the BSV blockchain and ecosystem, with several technical milestones achieved. In May, there were nearly 4 million transactions recorded in one day, helped by a single block mined by Taal containing 1.3 million transactions, matching a previous record. Multiple days in August saw over 2 million transactions added to the chain, with the iGaming company Cryptofights generating many of these transactions. On August 16, the BSV network processed a record 1.247 GB size block – a block not just significant for its size, but for its underlying economics: it was the first time that the transaction fees earned (6.33 coins) were higher than the fixed subsidy amount (6.25 coins) for the block. The record for the largest block was subsequently broken, with the world record – achieved on the BSV network – now standing at 2 GB.
Later in the year, on September 3, the BSV blockchain became the most data-rich blockchain and since that time has grown to a total size of over 2 TB. Importantly, despite the increased traffic and demand on the network throughout 2021, the median transaction fee has remained under 1/50th of a U.S. cent throughout the year.
What is coming up in 2022
There are strong expectations for the wider BSV ecosystem in 2022, as well as major technical milestones on the network roadmap to achieve. The most important moment expected to occur next year is the release of Teranode – a multi-machine implementation of the Bitcoin SV node software that utilises horizontal scaling to unlock increased capacity on the network (a live demonstration at CoinGeek Zurich earlier this year processed more than 50,000 transactions per second). What will be interesting is how this additional capacity to the network is utilised.
The year 2021 saw companies leveraging the BSV network for a host of activities. nChain released its platform, Kensei, in July 2021, and signed up kompany and Crucial Compliance, both firms enhancing their existing offerings by leveraging blockchain’s immutable data integrity functionality. In 2022, it is expected to see greater understanding and acceptance of the broad applicability of data integrity, especially in iGaming and CBDC solutions.
